I hi have a 2014 sport with 33’s lifted with procomp suspension3” I told the guys at discount to put the recommended tire pressure my truck rides really rough the thought came to my mind maybe my tire pressure is to damn high I’ll try 35psi. I’ll let you the difference thanks man piece

I run 38 psi for my 285/70R17 C load tires. Its been great. I check the threads with my hand to see if there’s uneven wear. Wear in the middle means too high pressure. Wear on the outside means too low pressure. Even wear means optimal pressure.

Yeah... the super counter intuitive thing is that for the same tire size going from p metric to LT , the LT tires will need MORE pressure even though they are way thicker. The reason I figure is , it's like blowing up a thicker balloon , to get the same ground pressure it's going to take more air.... However , remember that the max pressure is WAY higher and LT tires can handle probably way more weight than your truck can handle. That tire pressure site is right. They're just using software to do the lookup on the load inflation tables for you. I actually built a tire size calculator app at one point and had it in the app store ... I'll put an updated version out one day. Maybe for the next version I'll have tire size and I'll do the same thing and do the load inflation calculations too. Should be pretty easy. I write code for my day job. It's worth noting that if you went from p metric to p metric and went to a larger tire , the pressure would always go DOWN but they'd stop at 26 even though a lower pressure could hold the load... I think the reason is that you just get too much tire deformation below 26 PSI to run that as a street pressure... And remember.... Setting that floor at 26 PSI also allows for people to be a little bit negligent and lose some tire pressure.... So the absolute absolute absolute bottom street pressure would be about 20 psi... A technically speaking the definition of a flat tire is lower than 20 psi... I would never run 20 PSI Street but I have run 26 psi Street before. They used to do it all the time until Firestone made a dodgy tire and then the government had to get involved.... Actually the lowest tire pressure that you will see right now is about 29 PSI... The 265 65 17 tire on the Toyota Tacoma actually recommends 29 PSI. When you're setting these tire pressures you should also know that if you compare Toyota to other vehicles, Toyota runs about as low as they can.... And 35 PSI is about as low as you want to go on an LT tire for the street unless it's a 37-in tire or larger You can go a little lower. But definitely if you were running a 33-in tire or smaller the absolute minimum for LT tires is actually 35 psi whereas the absolute minimum for p-metric tires is 26 and the absolute minimum for metric tires is 22... Like I said I would never run 22... And I actually use that absolute minimum that they recommend for street pressure for p-metric tires as the floor pretty much for off-roading I'll not go below 26 unless I have a problem or unless I have a need to. I will run 26 on the trail though that's pretty much my standard pressure... If I get into some bad mod or something like that I'll go to 22.... And then if it's an absolute emergency maybe I would go down to 18 but without being locks everybody says you might lose a bead below that. So I would say probably don't go below 20 psi even unless you have bead locks. But basically given that the definition of a flat tire is below 20 psi I really don't want to go below 22. Also I overrode my TPMS monitor is using an OBD programming tool and the lowest it will let me override to is also 22 PSI... So if I run lower than that it's going to look like all my tires are flat for my tire pressure monitors so that's another reason I like to run higher than 22 and like I said usually 26... If you run 26 and you get a flat tire it's going to ding and you're going to know you're below 22... To each their own but that's pretty much my strategy and I can send you a video of my Jeep performing quite well with 26 PSI without even having mud tires.

Funny! I just recently found out your tire pressure may affect your ride... I rarely check the placard inside of the door jam. I usually inflat between 30-35, depending if it's a car, truck or SUV. I also remember deflating to 20 psi on sand. And that 1 time I didn't deflate, I got stuck! Till this day, my then gf (now wife) never let's me forget that day. LOL!

I run 37 psi and it’s a lot better toyota said I can run 40psi if I want be fine. I like your tires looking for rims .
