I'll be watching the release, but it will still take A LOT for me to trade in my 2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 with 76k miles for this new more "powerful" version. Can't wait to keep hearing more details.

“Powerful version” aka a $7,000 hybrid battery replacement cost after the 10 year warranty. Regular Toyota engines last way longer than that.

@@andrewgus8763 You know what's funny? The science has been there for many years and politicians knew combustion engines were bad for the environment now they all of a sudden want to lower or go zero emissions?? 🤔 There are no such things as coincidences in life. @@andrewgus8763 I owned a 3rd gen Prius for 13yrs (200K) and the hybrid system had zero faults in my entire ownership. Mileage was down 15% compared to the first 4 yrs and on par with reduce capacity of the traction battery, but it wasn't close to needing a replacement. Instead, normal wear and tear to suspension and brakes was starting to accumulate, and it was time for something new, so I traded it in.

I’d skip the hybrid set up, but keep the turbo. With that said, I think Toyota would be smart to call one of their set ups the 24R and 24 RE for the turbo and turbo electric hybrid. Just a throwback to the legendary 22R(E)s of the 80s and 90s.

I would tike to see an option for a tacoma with a hybird setup for fuel mileage like the Hylander setup with less towing capability. Not everyone needs to tow a lot of weight, like approx 4 or 5000 lbs, but an efficient people mover with a box to carry some items. Kind of like a do it all ….light duty pickup that’s great on fuel.

Never been a fan of the Crossover coupes. Some angles you could be convinced: maybe this isn't an assault to my retinas. But then when you get up close and behind one of the large BMW or Mercedes ones at a stoplight and the license plate is at your eye level, the facade of any sportiness just falls away. Without being low to the ground, and being so huge, they just seem goofy. If I ever considered owning an SUV, I'd rather take the extra space of a normal SUV form factor. All that said, this looks the best of the ones I've seen. I think the rear roof spoiler helps. Dig the orange too.

Do the fuel savings calculation for a Camry hybrid over 10 years assuming 12,000 miles per year or 120,000 miles total. Difference in fuel economy is 31 vs 46 mpg. You save 1,262 gallons of fuel x $3 = $3,800. But find it hard to believe a hybrid battery only lasts that long and would like to know more about your example I have spoken with taxi drivers with Prius and battery lasts at least 200K. In the end cost of ownership is much better with hybrid its just that the money you are saving along the way needs to be accounted for. Plus, there is essentially no automatic transmission to wear out on a hybrid and that ecpense is avoided. If you don't drive many miles a year then a hybrid is bad investment.

Genesis/GIA are just fantastic at copying other cars- That is a Porsche Cayenne with a hint of Tesla Model Y.

The reveal/teaser was lame. Here we go with the same stupid thing they did with the Tundra.

Dang the GV80 looks good! It has a bit of Bentley vibes and the lines flow better than the GV60 or GV70 at least based on pictures minus the holes in the front

Have fun paying 8000+ for a battery on those hybrid batteries once they go out. I’ll be keeping my 2nd gen as long as possible.

I think tuning the Tacoma hybrid for power vice gas mileage is a mistake just like I believe it was a mistake in the Tundra. With Russian oil off the Western World’s markets and oil production peaked in the US gasoline isn’t getting cheaper. I have a Cyber Truck reserved if we don’t get a Tacoma or Tundra hybrid tuned for gas mileage I will probably go with the Cyber Truck.

4cyl Turdbowl is junk ,Hybrids are junk. Only thing I can say Toyota is on track to keep up with is Keeping their mechanics busy like Ford ,GM and Ram.
