Honestly I want to see a dyno chart of the same diesel engine NA, Supercharged, and Turbocharged. I would like to see a dyno chart of your engine with the supercharger simply because I have grown an interest to superchargers on diesels. For an offroad car I am impressed that you have a supercharger, you will have power on demand along the entirety of the power spectrum.

I said a lot of them were. Supercharging diesels isn’t necessarily only an old method of forced induction in diesels. Depending on engine configuration modern (V8/flat 4/opposed piston) Twin charged diesels have found their ways into modern military and marine applications as they don’t provide the low end torque as you are describing.

@@digitalscale76 Well, we could for example look at some of the biggest Diesel car producers out there, to get a rough estimation. VW would come into mind in that case. Between the Golf 5 and Golf 8, there was one naturally aspirated Diesel Engine and 23 Turbocharged ones. No supercharged Diesel engines were part of the line up during the last 15 years. And what should be considered, is that the Golf is one of the most successful car models ever produced. When looking at VW, there are many other TDIs, while I have never heard about them using superchargers for their Diesels

Although the do seem to sound better with coal burners but low revs will never get the best out of a supercharger and that's why turbos are preferred along with emission factors also
