Mr. Collins, saw you on Ben Fowlers podcast. Not that it'll mean much or if you even see this, but it has to be said. The content you helped produce at the BBC, for Top Gear, was among the best a television show could hope to be. It will go down in history as some of the best content ever created for fans of comedy or automobiles. Packed with information, humor and some seriously good driving. I grew up watching Top Gear. My heroes all drove race cars. Senna was my favorite. Bit odd growing up in Steeler territory, but I was never into sports-ball. My father was a huge Nascar fan his whole life, but he let me watch rally racing, moto GP, we watched F1 races together, anything with wheels, even tractors. I never dreamed of being a fighter pilot, but airplanes are a serious point of interest of mine. Anything that burns fuel, most things with wheels, and some things without, I tell people. I would like to thank you, for what it's worth, for everything you've done to contribute to something I've been passionate about my entire life. I'm not sure if the gravitas of the situation is something you're keenly aware of, but what you've done for motorheads and racing fans, it's irreplaceable. It's legendary. I would like to say that I think the work you've done and continue to do, is adding value to the world. The world is richer for having you in it, sir. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, PA. I was the only kid in school who could recite the hot lap times, and the drivers who set them. You gave this country boy a ton of memories and something to look up to. I can not say thank you enough, I'm not good enough with words to express how much joy you folks (everyone even the film crew) and obviously Clarkson, Hammond and May, brought to my world. I still re-watch the old TG, from time to time. Going back through it with my son at the moment. I still feel like a kid, I still laugh, I still smile. I still get excited when you pull away to set those best times... Thanks, Mr. Collins. You'll always be set firmly on my list of heroes.

Lovely comment mate. Not sure if Ben does the engagement himself or if it's a 3rd party. However, it's usually pretty high and does seem sincere. Howveer, there's no engagement on this little short, even liked comments, let alone replies. Id suggest putting this story on his next upload when it's still new - I think you'll have a decent shot at a reply. All the best to you and your family pal.

My first bush bomb was a Ke20 Corolla. Incidentally, my race cars had a 1077 Corolla engine. They were used here in Aus to make bulletproof formula 3 engines.
