Umm...it's this kind of old (I'm old) thinking that has me spinning....I'm trying to get away from even the ridiculous word perfection...its completely subjective, unachievable and absolutely gets in the way of whats important....far more important than the myth of "perfect craftsmanship"...it's finishing. You have to finish. Use the wrong words for a person like myself and you end up with a lifetime of potential and a garage full of "perfect projects" that couldn't meet the criteria and were never finished. Just piled up regrets for even the inspiration to start them. I now make the commitment to finish what I start whatever the final outcome. Further, because I suck, I also have to commit to finishing them ON TIME. That daggone word causes lateness that causes a bad taste for the end user regardless of the finish..."I needed it then, not now"...because I was chasing a ghost for two extra months. Thank god for youtube and generous artists to help work out these kinks. Cheers

So excited to watch how you apply sound principles and practices to restore the metal to production line perfection.

Subscribed. Never saw this before. A trailer got away from me and dented my mint box on my 1994 F-350 and I have agonized over how to repair this. I doubt I will ever be able to replicate this from this video but it gives me hope. Just amazing on how even the paint survived all of this, never mind the metal being stretched.

Yeah, I went through years of school and OJT and got a degree in paint/fender/body, and when I would ask about PDR, a lot of the guys would scoff and say it was fine for small dents, or maybe after hail storms. They'd all want to remove/replace fenders, cut/weld/fill/sand/paint QP/SP and door skins. I'd ask them why they don't try to manipulate the dent and make at least reuse the original fenders etc. Most would say it was easier and faster to do it their way. I'd still hold on to the old parts and practice manipulating the metal, but if I had been able to see this channel when I was still working there and going to school, I think I would have been able to convince the instructor as well as the owner of the body shop I was working at to train me on it. I'm not knocking the other way at all and understand that in certain instances it is definitely needed. However, an alternative is always nice to have.
