It will sell for 20 thousand to the dealer and the dealer will jack it up to 40 thousand to make a profit.

Put the Prius powertrain in it. Leave out the large screen TV everyone seems to love, completely annoying to me, especially at night. Physical controls including a lever to engage 4wd and the parking brake. Have some up fitter switches for extra lights and such. Preferably flat load floor with tie downs. I'll keep my 10 FJ but I'd buy a hybrid like that

I think the new 2.4 litre hybrid from Land Cruiser (Prado) J250 would be perfect, (keep Land Cruiser J250 more luxurious 7 seater, the new 4R something in between like a hardcore 7 seater off-road, and this thing a hardcore offoroad 5 seater only) and put more physical buttons in it, and make the large infotainment screen an option but a 8-in screen standard, with basic functions like a/c on buttons, what could be even better is a lever switch for 4WD modes and 3 lockers (front, centre, and rear), also add sway bar disconnect, with all off-road functionality and capabilities, plus Toyota reliability, this thing would sure be a wrangler/bronco killer

This needs to be 4WD not AWD. Personally I would prefer a simple comfort package option. Remote start, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. If not then at least remote start.

This new Toyota Landcruiser FJ is being built on the RAV4 Hybrid Chassis with a modification to enable the vehicle to be a permanent 4x4 Drive Vehicle as all Landcruiser's are 4x4 and not all wheel drive. The new FJ is initially being built at the Tahara Plant in Japan it will be about the same size as the new Suzuki 5 Door Jimny 4x4

I don't think itll be that small.

Range, size/weight/ladder platform, power options, towing capacity, minimalistic interior, pricing ($30 - $40 k), timing, competition. Rivian's R2 or R3 is two years away but is an impressive concept. So with the Lan Cruiser FJ moniker, full 4 wheel drive capabilities, above average road clearance, significant entry/exit approach angles, options for ride height/quality/terrain, P2L/P2G?

The dash design is different and yes no touchscreen might turn off a few people but if the Backup camera is in the center screen it might be alright?

If they make that price range of $30-38,000 Hybrid , I think it’ll fly off the lots!

But will it make it to the US - most doubt it!

Still have my 07 FJ with 343k miles and it will be cheaper to replace the engine, frame and transmission than buy a new car at this point.

Car companies need to pull the franchise license from dealerships that mark up prices.

I suspect any hybrid system is going to come with a digital display and cameras. The design without the display is probably not for the North American market. I could see a stripped down version - the $20,000 one - being sold in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, but not in Europe or North America. The latter two markets are probably going to be starting at $28,000, which is where the base Jeep Renegade is.

Same capability as the Land Cruiser? Same dual wishbone suspension or a single LCA Strut/Spring tower like the Rav4? I love my Rav, but it is not as capable as the Land Cruiser or 4 Runner. Cool looking vehicle that I will definitely continue to follow though!

a weekend offroader to get you where you want on the weekends with your wife and two kids prolly a dog and the get it cleaned up and be ready as a daily driver. prolly in the asian market specially in ph ideal numbers would be 200hp 500nm torque 5seater, with center diff lock and rear diff lock.

MSRP Price in the U.S. will be $45,000, but dealers will mark them up to $80-$100,000 and suckers will flock to buy them. I work a dealer in FL, and we plan to mark up the Land Crusier 15-20K over MSRP. Suckers will pay up so I can get a big fat bonus.

There will always be suckers but i dont think dealerships are moving their markups too well right now.

At 20-25k I'd be all over this. At 40k, I'll pass. Toyota has discussed direct to consumer marketing. I wish this would come to pass. The dealership ripoff, known as the dealer markup is dramatically impacting the new car market.

No EV? Turbo is inherently higher maintenance and less reliable. I'll pass for a Rivian R2 or R3. Shame on you, Toyota.
