Great to experience Pont-Aven again. We sailed with her in September 2013 in each direction travelling to Andalucía and back. Lovely ship. Also good to see Northern Spain from the railway. It's a lovely area and a great coastline. Excellent video!

Hi Scott. Thank-you for your comment, it is appreciated. My Main camera is a Sony Handycam HDR HC9E, my backup camera is another Handycam HDR-CX250E (Basic, but the picture is good. Ideal to set up on a tripod and leave running in a slightly different position, whilst I shoot with my main Camera. I also use a GoPro camera (good to put in the cab of trains or lay between the tracks. I edit with Avid Studio. Thanks again. Tim.

Just discovered this on UT. Excellent. And I do appreciate the music for I heard much worse... From time to time it is necessary to protect the driver's privacy.. TNX for these great video's, you do set an example.

Beautiful country and great video with no shaking. I do like to hear the engine rather than the music.

I find this video slightly depressing because I'm jealous.I doubt if I'll ever go on a similar trip- but this is the next best thing. No obvious camera tricks; just showing it lke it is and leaving one to let one's eyes to examine the scenes presented which allows the viewer to make one's own selection of what is interesting. Have you ever looked through old photos and noticed that the reason why the photo was taken is subsumed by what is seen in the background which later viewing becomes more important.Well this film contains so much while appearing at first glance to contain so little. Just look and observe. Thanks Tim

Hi John, your comment is appreciated. One of the reasons I enjoy taking and later editing video film, is that it gives me an opportunity to re-live the trips I have been lucky enough to make. I follow my route on 'Google Earth' to check the names of stations etc and take a closer look anything interesting such as bridges, tunnels, rivers, towns and nearby industry. It is interesting you mention the background because now you have mentioned it I realize I tend to look at the whole picture not just the railway ahead. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

I just discovered your videos yesterday, I have watched 4 already, onlly 72 to go. They are so wonderful I promise you that I will see them all!! I am a train watcher so I love the RR coverage, but your filming, editing and music accompaniment are just about perfect. What kind of camera and software do you use? Thanks so much for sharing these wonderments with us, please keep them coming!

Hi, I'm pleased you found the video interesting, I take on board your request for more information, although striking a balance between the time I have available and the extra research I'd have to do is a tough judgement, KZread is just a hobby that takes an ever increasing amount of my spare time.

To tour Northern Spain, the worst way would be by rail!
