The mechanics of this stage is you lose a life if you get hit just once. But there is a timer, and you have to survive for that amount of period of time. Once that timer runs out, the boss will simply try to get hit.
This stage isn't that hard on the first 5 stages. What I really hate about this is that Marisa's attacks becomes so hard that I can simply just pray on luck. I didn't have that much problems on the other stages except the last stage.
Reimu's attacks are so hard as time goes on. I even lost to her even when I am still on 4 lives! Then when I reached Reimu again, I stopped and looked for other people's strategies for this stage. MegamanOmega has a really decent strategy for the last 4 stages. Just don't attack that much on these stages until around 20 seconds so the boss will have not that much time to pose that much threat. I tried it on Reimu and it did work, but I didn't execute it properly enough and lost all my lives before I was able to do it.
I didn't upload the one with Komachi but what I can tell is either I got lucky or using the same strategy in the main game works in her route. I didn't had much of a trouble on her side.
