Archaon seems fairly powerful in campaign at least, I regularly get well over 100 kills per battle with him in single player.

1,5h of watching this is a better, more, immersive, gripping and entertaining build up to the game than any official trailer or announcement could ever be. Seriously, if CA sees that kind of dedication to the game and the lore that is based on they should consider promoting your videos. I frankly think that your lore videos set the standard for what many people want and wish from the upcoming games. And that's something you should take no small amount of pride in. Loved to watch the previous lore videos, eagerly awaiting the upcoming ones.

Personally I think Malekith should have a overconfidence ability. If he's winning greatly in melee, he should have a boost to attack but a decrease in defense.

Jochem Schipper Arch is a great guy, he's one of the few who makes his own narratives when talking about warhammer, unlike those fucks "oneeyesyndicate" who just copies lexicanum word by word. and this is new, the community never pitted content creators against each other. Arch has been our longest community content provider long before milkandcookies even existed and his loyalty to the brand, to the fanbase, and to himself is the thing that proppelled his channel as the one largest warhammer content creator. I find it disgusting that there's suddenly a surge to discredit him by making factions in the warhammer community.

i reeally lovr these lore videos, even tough i have 14 years of lore and warhammer obsession i still learn something new and you really have a way to make these stories come.alive but one thing warhammer has a shit ton of great,maps and illustrations and i think some kinda map where yi pinpoint all locations tjat,you mention would be even better than one big map

Really excellent video! The backstory of the elves and the sundering was really dramatic, and I actually got a bit emotional listening to you tell it. What a great telling! Thankyou for all of the effort you put into it, it was truly very enjoyable to watch! I also love all of your mechanic ideas for the Dark Elves in campaign. Here's hoping they include some form of each of them! Given the detail and character that they put into Bretonnia's unique campaign mechanics, I am hopeful!

Great video as always. Personally I'm looking forward to the Dark Elves more than any other faction, and have been since the game was first announced. I can't wait to send Malekith and his armies against the hosts of the Asur. Let me tear down the great gates of Ulthuan! I'd also like to see Malus Darkblade and eventually Lokhir Fellheart, who I felt never got anywhere close to the amount of attention he should have.

Go read Warhammer Fantasy. You'll get it. If this IS the end times chess (where Archaon is playing against the Everwatcher in the Warp trying to map out his route of attack by imagining what each LL of every major faction could and would do in the event of an attack), then he (Sigmar shard) DOES get Heavens magic. And why not Valten? instead of being so dismissive give reasons. The EARLIEST TWW trailers/cover art listed Franz as Melee/Caster WITH lore of heavens.

We're not in end times yet the game has like a mock end times happen right now but really it's more about just playing around with the factions you like which is why when all the characters that are practically savages before then become practically gods then like Franz.

As of right now he is just the emperor and the best stateman the empire has ever had, and not Valten is simple he serves no purpose he doesn't change up the game or allow for any unique gameplay and the only reason the character was created has been retconned into oblivion and in the end times he only killed some chaos champions plus he basically is just another mounted heavily armored hero killer like Franz but Franz has a gryphon so yeah Valten he's just unnecessary and their are so many other Legendary Hero because he definitely wouldn't be a Lord characters that make more since like Ludwig Schwartzhelm, and Luthor Huss

Good job on predicting the order of Legendary Lords. Let us hope for Malus :) I can really see some interesting twists for his campaign, maybe even starting, and being built, around chaos wastes, since Hag Graef would be too cluttered with factions at this point (Malekith to the north, Morathi and Alith Anar to the south, Hellebron to the east).

Sorry to disappoint, I dont talk about Lokhir Fellheart in this one. Cool character, but he's a Hero that might not make the jump to Legendary Lord status. I find his inclusion somewhat doubtful until Malekith, Morathi, Hellebron, and Malus are added, in that order

Hope the hydra has a breath spell like you mentioned and a missile attack that gets applied to all dragons and not just an animation. I also hope that it'll have a HP based stat debuff to represent the hydras heads being damaged/chopped off. Should be able to implement with several other units having HP based buffs, like Orions cloak and frenzy mech

It would be cool if they make an ability where if you catch a regular sized fleeing unit, you could make a torture camp right in the middle of battle, super vulnerable to attack but works wonders on enemy morale within range.

Sigmar never had to contend with anything remotely as terrifying as the first Daemon incursions, so yeah I would agree.

Love the video. I was wondering if you (or anyone else) had any thoughts on who the DLC races would be for the second game. I think we have a pretty good idea who the 4 starting races are (Lizardmen, high elves, dark elves, and skaven as the fourth I would think) but what would the DLC races be. We got 8 races total for the first game, so who else could join the fun?

Yes, if CA keeps to their word, which I'm sure they will :)

When it comes to Dark Elves cities I think it would be best to have the main cities in naggaroth function as the same as wood elves cities. When going to the Old world you can take over the cities and mountain strongholds like a wood elves outpost but with better defenses, occupying them let's you harvest slaves boosting economy and pleasing the cults. To make this easier you have the black arc which will function as horde cities on sea that can't get too close to the coast, they also should be able visible from far away do to there size. You can only recruit black arcs x amount of times so losing one would be very bad and you start with 1 or none. Then skaven and lizardmen settlements can only be sacked or razed as you can't enslave them and the cities of ulthuan can be occupied/sacked/razed to expand the dark elf empire or wipe out the high elves. As a side note, If they don't add navy, then fighting the black arc could be done by putting all your units on basic boats and sieging it with these boats, you would be able to make tower boats to climb the walls or ram boats that destroy the the sea gates and then enter through the black arcs ports What do you guys think?

CA needs to hire you man I think you would be great on the Dev team

I'm kind of hoping their fortress ships end up being a finite resource which you have and can gain more of through dark elf unification. but function like a city and if captured are just 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I loved Realm Divide, especially with Darthmod where it let you keep your vassals and allies. FOTS civil war was pretty great too, though I feel like you should have been able to keep vassals or allies if you went republic.

I believe it lowered the penalty, I seem to remember an alliance breaking if we weren't on good terms before. So you can get Akechi Mitsuhide type situations. I do remember a couple games where it was two to three other clans and vassals fighting off 2/3rds of Japan.

i hope to god they have raptor cav, and a hydra and i hope lizard men just have dino trex like monsters on their unit roster soooo excited

i hope from now on they do 2 legendary lords amd a letendary hero on launch, the amount of characters in each warhammer faction are just crazy, and I really hope that CA tries to implement some of these choices from the get go.

They hate everybody, but no special hate towards the Lizardmen. They hate High Elves more than anyone though. Dark Elves raid the coasts of Lustria from time to time

You know how the High Elves have many forts throughout the world to act as naval bases, might the Dark Elves want to build something similar, e.g. occupy 2 or 3 coastal settlements in Lustria, Southlands, Old World and Araby/badlands? Also, there's some interesting ideas on regional occupancy on the reddit, e.g. www.reddit.com/r/totalwar/comments/61im52/proposed_new_map_and_regional_occupancy/?st=j0rka4g8&sh=c7467bd3 In this system, they could take any "plains" or "ice" settlement - would it be worth seeing Dark Elves actively take on the Skaeling or Varg (not as an objective of course)? Just to add some variety to their invasions

Hey Indy I would like to have them bring back the actual numbers from ME2 so when you raid for slaves it would be an actual no. rather than an arbitrary no. and have the fleet hold the pops till they return so if the fleet is destroyed you lose the slaves

About Clar Karond and Karond Kar. Clar Karond is the one in the south that is the main shipwright and port of the fleet and well as a center for beastmasters. Karond Kar is like you said a forced passage slave trade hub (beastmasters too) but not from the Underground Sea, in fact it's located on the opposite side of Naggaroth from the Underground Sea. It's the traditionnal raiding route to the east instead. For the Destroyer I think a good implementation would be a single target active ability that instantly adds 20 or 30 seconds of cooldown to at least all active abilities and at most all spells as well. A hit from the destroyer can make mages lose a level in TT which is a big deal so not being able to cast for 20 seconds would represent that. I think this is something that is totally doable, in fact I feel I could fairly easily mod something like that myself. Not OP, no RNGesus and can be clutch on a magic caster if well timed.

No matter the edition Malekith was too expensive to ever really pay off (or even be fielded) except in a really massive game. The fact that he was both melee and spellcaster made him more overpriced than anything since he couldn't really do both at the same time. Most of the time he could end up cannoned to death or bogged down on unsignificant chaff if you opponent was smart, especially on his dragon His armor gives him a +2 ward against anything not magic so he's almost like ethereal but he really didn't like magic even with the spellshield. Bottom line he's a beast both in magic (not the best lore though) and melee but in TT it was hard to make him pay off and he had a weakness to magic. Completely OP in End Times though with the ridiculousness of combined profiles and the no limit on lords. In TWWH though, melee doesn't really prevent you from casting and you can adjust the investment into it, also flying is a much bigger deal and let's you choose your engagement always. I wonder if he'll get a massive physical resistance like TT. I doubt DE will get lore of life though, hopefully the Soulstealer spell from lore of dark magic gets in and is both selfheal and a direct damage like TT, that would be super cool.

Awww, never mentioned Snorii was Malkiths best friend.

the Sundering led to the War of the Beard and the rise of Nagash, thus all Vampires, Tomb Kings and undead. To clarify not the Nehekaran Kingdom, just them turning into Tomb Kings.
