This city is just not what it use to be! The cost of living is NOT justifiable.

This isn't the city I grew up in...I know times change and things change but I didn't think this city would change into THIS.

Don't move the city and then complain about the noise, traffic, the amount of people and all the things that come with a major city. Toronto infrastructure never expanded or improved and never will in the time to keep up with the demand.

The city is garbage. Nothing pleasurable about living here. I was born and raised here, 36 years old. It has changed for the worst. I'm waiting for our boys to graduate HS and then we will venture somewhere else ❤

I was born in Toronto in 1962. Yes I’m old! I grew up there and loved everything about it. In 1987 I was married and had a baby and we wanted to buy a house. The prices drove us all the way out to Newcastle, Ontario. We both commuted, until baby #2 and later #3 came along, and I stayed home for a bit until I could find work closer. We were both determined to visit Toronto often with our family while they were growing up. They loved Toronto as much as we do. Today, they live out East (Bowmanvillle) area, one is in Ottawa, but they all still go to Toronto for either work or with their own families. Toronto is a great city!

I left Toronto in 2010 for a smaller city. I still love it but I always wished they would have gotten their act together regarding public transit

Toronto, like all major Canadian cities, has been run into the ground. Poor management of the city and an inability for politicians to represent the people. Crime, lawlessness, homelessness, poverty, high cost of living, etc. Toronto's woke mayor is making the situation worse.

Grew up in Toronto. Left when I was 34. 5 years later looking back... Wouldn't want to be anywhere near Toronto for the next pandemic or lockdown.... Small town living is easier on the stress levels and pocket book. Especially when you have kids.

I left Toronto in 1989 and moved to Stoney Creek. I was born and raised in Toronto. Took some getting used too. But I don't miss the big city. I live in Cambridge now and love it. Not too big not too small. For now just right..

I can’t stand Toronto. Moved to Nova Scotia in the early ‘80s and never looked back. I try to fly into Hamilton when visiting so I don’t have to go anywhere near there. I don’t see the appeal. 🤢😖🤮

If the city were more walkable, with fewer car dependent suburbs, it would be a much better place with less traffic. I live in the country after living in the city for more than a decade, and I would never go back. I'd rather deal with the mosquitoes over urban living any day!

I live in Toronto but putting safe injections beside schools, the homelessness crisis, a completely dysfunctional city hall prioritizing renaming Dundas square but calling their own citizens opposed wasting money on this now as horrible “racist” citizens, higher taxes, encampments in green spaces, open drug use, sirens, poorly planned construction projects all happening at once, higher crime, poor job market, …of course people are leaving. There were barely any Canadian Flags during Canada Day. I had to drive out of the city to find some Canadian Pride. I’m born and raised here (a few decades ) and I love this city but I want to leave too! The problem if we all leave our voices get silenced so we’re trying to hang on until Oct 26, 2026 🗳️

It's overpriced and loud.

Toronto is not what it used to be. It's an overrated, overpriced hole now. I know cities grow, cities change, Toronto got stock and got worse. The city councilors and the mayor are clueless on how to run the city for a few years already. For example, instead of fixing traffic, by buying more buses, and building more subways, one way streets, we are putting more streetscars and more building bike lanes where there are not required. Not every city has needles on the sidewalks, human pheces on the streets. Drugs are widely available and are part of the culture, shootings, stabbings almost every day, infustructure falling apart, and outdated. But then Torontonians believe we are living in the world class, best city in the world, lol. Either these people have not traveled enough or don't know any better. This city lost its chance to be one of the greatest. Instead, anything goes here. You be suprised how many 3rd workd contries cities are run and better off the then 1st world hole of Toronto.
