I feel like if we’re in an “S-year” or refinement-year, ALL cameras should be upgraded (even minorly), because processors and graphics just aren’t as important as they used to be.

The question is how much of those AI features are going to trigger to the S23 models.

I like your style mate! I ordered my S24 Ultra Titanium Violet today. I did my short testing in the shop today vs my S23 Ultra, Pixel 8 Pro and Note 20 Ultra and I'm still skeptical about going back to 5X optical zoom. I still think it was a bad move and it would have been better to improve the 10X optical zoom.

Hey CJ. I like what I see on the S24 Ultra. The new features and everything. The thing that stands out the most is the flat panel and that titanium. I just recently bought a Z Fold 5, and I love it. I have the S23 Ultra, and I'm going to wait for myself for the first time. I want to enjoy the Fold right now. Hopefully, those features will come to the Fold series as well. Hope you can reply. Why does this 50MP periscope sensor have only PDAF and not dual pixel PDAF like all other sensors and like S23 Ultra?

You think is worth the change from S23 U to S24 U taking in consideration that my s23 u is 256gb and the switch to the 1tb s24 u is just 449 taxes included? I got educ discount, bundle discount, promotional discount, certificate discount, and other stuff

I have the note 20 ultra, I will upgrade but later on in the year I want to see the reviews first.

Let's see if this will make me finally let go of the Note 10+ as my primary phone. My secondary carry is a s23 so I do stay up to date, but it feel like it's time to swap the big boy out. I can say the one thing I will miss is sd card that 1tb been rocking solid smh.😢

I can tell you from the hands on with the S24 U, everyone is not mentioning the new Gorilla Armor has Anti-reflective properties, giving the device an almost matt panel that is amazing. Some people are not going to like it. The 5x camera needs some software work, an update is pushing out on Tuesday. I saw the Titanium Orange in person, gorgeous! That is what I oredered

Heat is my only concern. It seems to run hot whilst charging and throttles quickly whilst under under pressure ? Will the new heat dissipation system be up to negating the gen 3 chip and Titanium combination?

I'm stuck between the silver or the yellow/gold?

The Black Friday deals are better.

If they hadn't messed with the 10x optical zoom it would be a no brainer for me to go from 23 to 24 ultra and that would be the end of it. I have pre ordered but if the zoom is compromised at all it goes back immediately. And i have never returned a phone before and thats getting a new S device every year since the S3 and a new note yearly (now folds) since the note 2. I really think they messed up this year though zoom wise

Trying to determine if I'm going to get the 24 Ultra, wait for iphone 16 to come out or get Iphone 15 pro max. Currently have a Samsung galaxy note10 plus. I got a Apple watch 9 for Christmas so I have hard decisions to make here 🤔

As far as it being a titanium finish, if I keep a OtterBox Defender case on it 24/7, what does it matter? Definitely not upgrading from S23U this year but maybe S25

Going from Z Fold3 to S24 Ultra. Z Fold3 was an awesome experience but the battery, camera and just apps not being really optimized for it were huge cons. Plus the hinge might need replacement cause it doesn't open flat anymore.

Almost literally the same reason I am going to S24 ultra from z Fold4. My phone was already repaired because it couldn't open flat. But it happened again - I am not gonna waste my time for the second time

You always put out great videos brother. Appreciate ya! I decided to upgrade from the S23 Ultra because of issues I was having with the software and Wi-Fi. But Im very happy about the flat display, the 7 years of OS and Security updates on the S24 Ultra. Plus having a chance to play with the AI even if it's only for 11 months lol Looking forward to your vids on the camera and on the AI. You helped me understand and use my S23 Ultra in a new way

I've been researching this AI free until 2025 thing. As I understand it the reason for Samsungs disclaimer about the AI features only being guaranteed to be free until the end of 2025 has to do with their 3rd party agreements. Since this technology is not solely the property of Samsung and relies heavily on other companies technology and intellectual properties Samsung can only guarantee that it will remain free while their agreements with those 3rd parties remain intact. Which is still a concern but probably not a major one. Certainly not to the extent that some will make of it.

The only reason I am buying the S24 Ultra is that Ultra HDR photography. That is a feature every phone must have. It's on my Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus and it came with the Pixel 8 series. Outdoor pictures can be lively. It lights up the sky to make the photos lively. If you see it you can't unsee it again. If that feature was on my S23 Ultra I couldn't send it in for trade in

Congrats on the 100K benchmark! Still think you should be much higher but I guess that's just part of the journey. So unless you just want to splurge and have the latest and greatest, no reason to upgrade to the S24 Ultra... Samsung Knights. It's a refinement year for those older than the 2023 version, which is okay because there is only so much these companies can do year after year. Save your money and invest it. Next up, the iPhone 16 series.... Keep up the excellent work CJ!

I think the S23U and others will get some AI features but not all until the S25 series is released, AI is new and will get better overtime with more updates and features, just my humble opinion.

It's going to be very interesting to see where samsung goes with this and whether older phones like the s22 and s21 lines will get the A.I features, because if it does then yes there's way less incentive to upgrade and if it doesn't then it makes all of samsungs bluster about 7 years firmware updates a complete laughing stock, because at the end of the day what is the point of having 5-7 years updates if after only 2 years the new software features are not going to come to those devices, so I think samsung better consider very carefully what they are doing because I for one will be paying very close attention with respect to when it's time to upgrade again and if samsung are just going to bullshit their way through then nothing they promise can ever be taken as true, just throwing out word like 7 years updates is meaningless unless you have an idea of what they're medium to long term software plans are, 7 years is a fucking age in tech terms so its just pointless marketing drivel to sell more phones, a very short sighted strategy, you may sell a few more devices short term but that's it's, and with apple taking more and more market share year on year, samsung seriously need to get their act together.

It's ok to go into refinement mode when you've slapped the peak around for a decade, Samsung has multiple form factors to refine and still creating newness just being real, facts only. Let's stop comparing without the proper perspective, AI has been in these phones for a minute and certain oems have been charging for useless subscriptions for a while, if samsung holds true to what they've been doing, they'll bless you with the essentials regardless and may collaborate but let's not get it twisted their not shoving subscriptions down your throat like some do. This phone will be down played by some and super hyped by others, but if you know you know. Had to grab that titan yellow. Big improvements to look forward too. Content overflowing and will continue for quite a while right.

Funny how Samsung says it has 7 years of security updates knowing darn well no one really has their phone for more than 2-5 yrs.

But when I heard on the unpacked they said 7 year update I may jump to it cus every 2 years I upgrade my phone

Not a single mainstream flagship has been worth upgrading to year after year for a few years now. I typically wait 2 cycle in between both Samsung and Apple phones.

Well accordng to tests, the zoom performance has got worse, so... 😂 Not surprise, because more megapixels means nothing in itself. Also the SD8 Gen 3 is faster, but it comes at the cost of more power consumption. As crazy as it is, SD8 Gen 2 is actually MORE efficient. 😅 All of this "greatness" comes with higher price tag. To me it seems like one step ahead, two steps backwards with this iteration. I wish this video truly was "honest".

Esim has been around, yes. But until now you could not use 2 esims at the same time, only 1 physical sim and 1 esim could be used together

I really like the gen 2 on my galaxy 23 ultra it's really gd 👌🏾

I had a chance to upgrade for 150$ from s23 ultra to s24 ultra, so I ran for it. First of all, it was a good deal for me. Second, I fell in love with esthetics of the gray s24 ultra. Third, I like it to have a flat screen (bye to accident touches and inconvenient s pen experience). Forth - increased brightness. I use my phone putdoor for my work. I am a bit worried about the 10x zoom, I hipe it won't be worth than on the s23 ultra.

Samsung knight here . But I am big mad. No headphone jack. No IR blaster. There is no charger in the box. We look like an iPhone so much that I can't tell the difference. Going to Xiaomi phones.

Heard nothing that's an upgrade from S23 U to S24 U. I do want to collect a S 24 U just to review and have.

at the end of the day, let see what happens once its come out to public

As much as I'm sure for an upgrade nahhhh the big selling point of the phone is AI and they plan to charge for that too smh. Samsung is getting scummier and scummier especially given we havent seen google charge for amy of its AI so what makes samsung think they can? I'm still not over them throwing jabs at apple but following behind apple with no charger in the box and taking away the sd card slot for no real reason other than to charge people more for storage smh.

I love my s 23 ultra but I wish I would of waited for the S24 ultra. I want a flat screen so i can get good screen protectors. Ill have to wait for s25 ultra or S26 ultra. Im done getting new phones every year. Waste of money.

Seen the SDGen 3 vs 2 benchmarks, won't be putting my S23U aside for that marginal upgrade.

I'm trading in my Note 9 for the S24 Ultra. Its been 5 happy Years with the Note and sadly its that point where I must say good by to it. The S24 isn't a perfect upgrade, as I would have liked to have : 1. a 16GB RAM option 2. a 2TB option 3. Retained the Expandable storage if they weren't going to offer a 2TB Option. 4. Retained a Finger print reader. But despite the above things being missing I'm happy and excited to be move to a new phone after half a decade. 😂❤😊

You will be pleased and not disappointed at all. The chipset is so much better than you don't need the same amount of ram. You also won't miss the micro sd card. Get yourself a USB c stick drive and move files that way.

People be like its the same design..... 2 seconds later it's flatter, the nits are much higher and its titaniam now. Same design??? 😂. Also the software is far better and the chip is far better and from the reveiws I've seen its faster than the iphone 15 Pro max. This is more than a refinement unlike Apple does with a dynamic island 😂.
