There is no Exynos 2400 in s23 Ultra. And even S24 Ultra will feature only snapdragon gen 3

I don't see what will push me to move from the S23 Ultra to the S24 Ultra. Personally, the S24 Ultra doesn't make me dream like the S23 Ultra did. And then change phones every year frankly. I prefer to wait for a real revolution. Maybe I'll buy the Z fold 6 if it's worth it.

Thank you for sharing this thought. I still have the S21 Ultra & wanted to upgrade to the S23 Ultra. Then I the S24 Ultra is coming out & I started to think maybe I'll wait. But, seeing your comment pretty much answered my question - upgrading to S23 will do just fine for now.

Family I've owned all the folds from 2 to now, and they ALL have the plastic coming off now. Not that it's a hard fix....but it is a really difficult fix as Best buy can't get the screen in from the manufacturer and ubreakit stores won't even deal with them. So yeah they sell us a nice folding form factor that they send you through hoops to get the damn screen protector replaced after a few months 😂😂...Good luck

The curved display is terrible, the worst feature especially if you have to use a somewhat rugged case to protect the phone from a harsh work environment, how annoying it is to get your finger around the curve of the screen to operate the phone. It's more of a styling gimmick because it looked cool and impressive in the showroom when it came out, however not only does it have no practical value, it has a negative impact on the functionality of

@@7x779 Eaxh to his own. You don't buy a premium phone for for ease of use with a case. I've never had a single problem with touches on any Samsung curved display...and you can also disable the curved parts of you need to with Samsung's Good Lock - not that I've ever needed to.

S22 ultra has the biggest curve, the S23U screen is in-between the S22U & the S24U when it comes to curvature. Btw curve screens suck

To each his own.. The S8 did have too much of a curve sure, but I'm sticking with my curvy S22U. It's part of the reason I got Notes and the high end S series in the past (along with the S pen) and they've gotten a lot better over the years. I personally don't like the look of a flat screen at all and on the more recent generations I really have no issue with getting over the curve. For me, it's mostly an issue of texting with my fat fingers but unless I want a giant screen like a fold, which I don't, I'm going to have that issue regardless. Not saying it isn't a functional downgrade, it is technically, but I think a lot of those gripes are a bit overblown.

@@HEBEJEBE who cares about the look, the curved screen was nothing more than showroom bling when it came out and looked cool that something could be manufactured that way. However especially if you're talking about fat fingers that makes the curved screen even worse and it's totally unnecessary. Who cares what it looks like it's an undeniable fact that a flat screen is more practical and useful. Especially if you live and work in the real world where you want to have a protective and rugged case, the downside of the curved screen becomes glaringly terrible. Not only does it make it doubly hard to get your finger around the edge, but there are no cases that fully protect the screen along the vertical edges because it's impossible to make a case that way because it will completely block access to the curved edges Oh and then I forgot, add to that if you want to use a screen protector. Good luck with that, there are none that work. The curved screen protectors don't stay on, they pop and come off, especially in a hot climate. So then they make some other flat ones that only cover the center portion of the screen and then you have the rough edge of the screen protector to deal with on the vertical sides It's really a stupid design that needs to go away, because it only has appearance and no functionality. What are the upsides to having a curved screen besides looks?

True, Qualcomm 4nm on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is really good. Even it beat A17 pro in GPU performance. And heating issues also spoil the performance on iphone 15 pro max. Which S24 Ultra will not overheat with a bigger vapor chamber

I came from The Note 20 Ultra 5g to The S23 Ultra, & i know i will be staying with The S23 until The S25 comes out.

It's nice. The best phone I've ever had. I'm glad I did.

As a delighted S23 Ultra owner who won't be upgrading until the S25 Ultra (I am on a two year contract), I just want to say that the S24 Ultra is sure to be a fantastic device. Anything that is a little quicker than my S23 Ultra, with better battery life, and a more sophisticated camera system topped off with a better screen, is set up to be a BRILLIANT bit of kit.

@@loveistheanswer5924 If Samsung optimize and apply the 8 Gen3 in the S24 series to the same degree as they optimized and applied the 8 Gen2 in the S23 series, then battery life on the S24 Ultra especially should be superb. Nothing comes with a guarantee however.

Although there are some concerns for Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 efficiency. But Samsung underclocked the middle cores on S24 Ultra and with a bigger vapor chamber equipped in s24 ultra. There will be no heating issues. And certainly help S24 Ultra to bring more battery life out of the same 5000mAh battery.

So don't make rookie mistake of actualization android, those bustard tends to lower performance of last year Flagship. Mine was out of the box ROOT'ed by myself and all actualization disable in addition all unused applications disabled as well. And for a greater performance and feel all animations disabled so all applications switch between themselves as fast as possible without any problems from occasional animation jitter.

@@Michael-ru3su It means that if you want to keep your feel about your device, you should not make any significant changes, especially by downloading and applying any android actualization. Except actualization tends to to annoying users by notifications and are hard to disable without ROOT permissions.

You should upgrade S23U. You feel better speakers, better battery and better camera. Also, the phone was assembled in South Korea.

Curved display was one of the best things. Going for the 23 ultra for sure. Im on a note 10+ since 2020

I'm not interested in upgrading to the S24 at all, as I love my S23 Ultra so much.

I try to keep my phones for about 4 - 5 years and don't think the improvements are worth upgrading early. Good thing it looks so similar to the S23U, if anyone asks what phone I have, I can probably get away telling them it is an S24U

There's no difference in size or camera either. To me the 23 ultra is better. 24 ultra maybe faster but to me they all look the same. S22 ultra is just like the s23 ultra expect that the s23 ultra camera is bigger and the screen is more curved.

I think if you have anything other than the S23 the upgrade will be worth it.

Great content. I have the s23 ultra. Love it. I don't know if I would like a flat display 🤔, haven't had one in a long time.

​@@yagamiff548I have never used a screen protector on any of my Samsung phones. The only one that broke was my note 8, which was entirely my fault because I had it in my pocket while playing football. All the notes and ultras I have had, had no protectors but never broke

The flat display I find to be just too unexciting. In terms of functionality, they say it's better but not fun at all. This is one thing I'm still root for in a smart phone design. That futuristic look. Sadly it's all going away.

@@olasumboope4928 Me personally, Ive had so many broken displays because of the curved glass. I'm tired of it, I want a more rugged phone that can keep up with outdoor work. Cases wind up being compromised for it, and screen protectors do not work as well.

I would say, there is not much of a big difference. But yes, with AI revolution S24 Ultra could be a big HIT.

I told myself when I updated from s10+1tb to my current s22 ultra 1tb I was gonna use my s22 ultra for at least 4 years but dang that flat display

@@JorgeReyesMDthey probably just overloaded the phone or something. mine is still running pretty great... though it has it's hiccup moments where things freeze and have to be force closed. I suspect it may just need a quick factor reset and resync on my end. same for andreo. try backing it up then factory resetting to wipe out the clutter.

How much HZ PWM dimming will the 24 ultra get?

Very minimal increases from the previous S22 and S23 Ultra. Then most will be using phone cases, screen protectors and power saving features to extend battery, which in turn...negatively impacts any minimal increase that was made. Waste of money if you have the S22 Ultra or S23Ultra. Note 10+ 5G still viable in 2024.

I have same SONY feelings about the look of new S24 Ultra.

I've been looking at the one plus 12 coming.... I love samsung but the cost is ridiculous.

I am really good with my s23 ultra nothing forging me to upgrade on 24 ultraaa not that much of updates hope s25 or s26 will bang the market

Lol the bottom bezel being smaller won't change the whole experience of using the phone. Such a stretch. I have a Spigen Liquid Air case on my S23 and I wouldn't want the bottom bezel any smaller because the lip on the bottom edge of the case is small enough as it is.

Me too. I'm a Note 20 Ultra 5g owner and I'm think I'm going to wait on the S24 Ultra until a couple more software updates come out and waiting for the AI feature to become more stable, I think. Besides, I can then trade the S23 Ultra that I plan to buy next , then maybe in the middle of the year trade that in probably helping me out financially. I mean my Note 20 Ultra is a beast and I've got 512gb on top of the stock 128gb all the great features I could want... for now 😊

Me too. Have Note 10+, it's still great to use but want to upgrade to 5g soon. So s23 Ultra should be enough, with 512 is my target after 24 ultra launch.

I just got the s23 ultra. I picked the lime green color. I love this color. The new colors on 24 ultra dont look great and im not a fan of having a bunch of AI on my phone yet. Its why i didnt get the google 8 pro.

I hope that samsung could also have flash photography using the 0.5 like the iphones😊

Actually i really hate that manufacturers these days are launching each year a new flag phone. You buy the s23 with a two year contract as these days phones became really damn expensive, and after a year the new model is on its way....i didn't like this comsumer policy from the start. Im general there should be something revolutionary with each model in order to choose one over prev.gen. I guess you need to wait at least two generations in order to get something good....otherwise you mainly get some cosmetic changes....

I'll be looking forward to this upgrade moving from a galaxy note 20.

There are software level changes. Also, the Telephoto sensor is changed. Even the processor will make a big difference. With the new AI FEATURES.

Is anyone else looking forward to the flat screen? Curved edges are a nightmare to apply a glass protector to and the flat glass screen protectors are significantly cheaper

Dont find a real good reason to buy a s24...all that titanium and some invisible screen size can not make me decide buying a new phone

Also i will consider that in EU they will deliver the Exynos chip, which sucks...i have my trusty S23plus which is here to stay for at least 3-4 years (SD 8gen 2 chip)

The more around the edges are the more you're likely to slip and drop your phone,, Nubia red magic pro 9 as square sharp edges that allow you to grip and hold your phone more securely

Can't wait for S24 Ultra to be released so I can finally afford a second hand S23 Ultra 😅

No point upgrading from s23 ultra to s24 ultra the difference is minimal for the price you'll be paying.

The next model phone isn't worth upgrading anymore. Waste of money. A few versions old might be. The 25 is supposed to be noticeably different. I have 21. I'll probably go for the 24.

I have S23 Ultra 5G. But Titanium case, IA, FLAT display and live translate make me think twice. I love the titanium feeling over my hand

well really happy with my 23 ultra, and nothing there makes me want to upgrade effectively worse camera, slightly worse battery life, the screen brightness on the 23 is already so bright I have it turned right down so the extra brightness is pointless. The only real upsides, slightly faster CPU, thinner case and I do like a flat screen but is that worth upgrading, I don't think so on balance I think the 23 is a better overall package will see what the 25 or 26 bring

It is too early to confirm. But yes, the display is getting an update. M13 which will increase the peak brightness at 2500 nits

Hence proved no need to dream about upgrading to s24u

I love how you people talk as if you know exactly what's coming... I swap phones every year because with the trade ins, I barely come out of pocket more than $200. It's worth a few dollars a month to have the latest and greatest in my opinion.

I agree, my s21 ultra is still awesome,but I'm thinking if I keep it much longer my trade-in may go down quite a bit.

Quite disappointing that the didn't go with 10x optical zoom.

The s24 ultra will be perfect for s22 ultra or earlier note users.

Im sold by just the flat display.

I'll keep my S22 ultra until new design and software innovation.

For now I'm sticking with my amazing LG v60 with amazing audio features (quad DAC, 3.5mm headphone socket, aptx adaptive), sd card slot, removable second screen, tough as nails even in foldable mode... However, it's stuck now on android 13 and probably won't get many more security updates. So, what next... So far it's looking like an iPhone max 15 (would be my first time of not having an android phone since the HTC magic), or...? I don't have an s23, my last Samsung was the galaxy note 9, and since then the Samsung range have lost 3.5mm headphone socket and sd card slot which is a pain. And Samsung, along with Google, have ignored people who enjoy decent audio quality compared to the likes of LG (rip😢), Sony and Asus (who are behind in commitments to os and security updates. If apple and fair phone can do 7 years why can't everyone else - at least 4 years. However, I like the size of the ultra and in built stylus is handy. Camera isn't important to me, battery life and audio quality is. There are deals on the s23 ultra and perhaps more when the s24 ultra comes out. Is there any benefit for the s24 ultra over the s23 ultra for battery life or audio quality?

Maybe Samsung would give update to S22 Ultra. This way we can get Galaxy AI. But there are couple of things exclusive for 8 Gen 3 devices. So, we may not see them on s24 ultra

Well I'm ordering my S23 ULTRA in green tomorrow as my first Samsung galaxy smartphone device. I'm not interested with the S24 ULTRA if anything, I'll wait until the S25 ULTRA comes out in 2025.

I had The s21 ultra and almost bought The s23, but it was not a big difference. With 24 ultra its so much better in everything.

There's just this blandness about samsungs phone designs. It might feel premium in the hand but it's very dry and basic to the eyes. Underwhelming. But other aspects, good. They need to be more expressive in that department.
