    I’d say it depends on how well it is written and performed. Here the reveal with everything else being the forced card is really a nice idea.

    Palm slid the wrong cards under their picks. All were 4 of hearts.

    @@v10dodge87 I understand what you're saying and agree that's a viable method, but I don't see the slides. And she's got no sleeves. There's got to be a little more to it. Or it's another method altogether.

    that was a very unique trick. I really liked it. I think I know how she did it, but her execution was so perfect that I couldn't spot anything. I think that's what makes it even better.

    Great trick!! I couldn't understand Penn's code, but I did pickup on some of it, yet still couldn't figure out completely how the trick goes. So here's a Fooled Me trophy, from me to you!!! 🎉🏆FM!!!

    I think his “double back” comment means each card has a double stuck to it, but not sure how she flips it to make it look like 1 card.

    @@scottmuck I’m probably wrong but I’m assuming it has to do with which way you flip the board, I’ve seen cards before that change depending on how you rotate/flip them.

    I’m sure penn knows, but like he said he cheated. I’m sure he had a idea but he was just about confused about it too. So he didn’t ask for the prop, he took it. So now the big question: did they figure it out during the close up? No….. did they have a idea how it was done? Yes, after close examination of the prop I’m sure they found it, but it wasn’t anything that they expected. So, yes penn did cheat, to find out how the trick was done, because he really didn’t know.

    @@MsNoPixel the double back statement was in regards to the card force she used. she put the 4 of hearts face up right under a double backed card at the top of the deck, so when she flipped half the deck over it appeared to be the card penn chose, its a classic card force so i doubt that’s where she intended to fool them. i wont give away the rest of the trick because its certainly less common, but if you google some of the terms penn used you might be able to figure it out. incredible and very original trick regardless, its one that i find very entertaining even though i know how its done. it takes classic magic principles and uses them in a novel and genuinely interesting way which is a talent in and of itself

    my favorite tricks are the ones where i think i know how they're done, and yet i could watch them 100 times over because the performance is flawless. this is one of them. a very fun routine and like penn said, very unique

    This was hugely enjoyable trick and performance. Penn was very clearly excited about not being sure if they got it right, and I know I was wrong in my personal guessing.

    Thata just acting . When allison talks to the performer, Penn amd Teller tell the producers how they think the trick was done. The producers let them know if they guessed correctly or not. If they are right, they decide how to communicate it in an entertaining way

    In addition to what LoneRanger (correctly) stated, there wasn't much room for alternate methods. I like the trick, but it wasn't designed to fool magicians. You see it once and if you know, you know.

    I didn’t realize what was gonna happen until like 5 seconds before the board switch and I was shocked!! In my head I was just like “nooo.. nooo she isn’t gonna flip the board!” So good

    Honestly, I sometimes find myself more baffled at how Penn and Teller manage to "communicate" their "how we think you did it" to the magician where it doesn't sound like they've said anything at all, yet the magician almost always knows exactly what hints were given.

    “Force of hearts” “Make a choice but have no choice” “Double back” “Expensive” I’m no magician so I’m probably wrong but I guess it was a forced choice to choose 4 of hearts. Then she lets them choose any card in the grid but it’s not really a choice because they’re all the same and that’s what makes it expensive (they’re all gimmicked.)

    I was holding my breath until the end with the excitement, thinking if the reveal is gonna be the one I am thinking of or not. Then the moment came and I threw my hands in the air with a loud "Yesss" as if I myself did the trick :D Very fresh idea, splendid performance. Looking forward to see more from you.

    That's a fun trick. I knew there'd be a twist but didn't see it coming until we were almost there. I think this was a rare instance where I was figuring out what Penn was figuring out at the same time - in terms of how this had to be done, and in terms of what an awesome magician Tori is!

    i love that she said “a lot of these games are designed so the house always wins,” because it’s not mathematically accurate to say they all are. there are a couple of video poker variants with paytables that have a greater than 100% return to the player, provided it’s played at a high enough denomination, for a sufficiently long time, with perfect decision making. anyway, great performance! i’m glad you got on the show

    Oh thank you! My script originally listened a few examples (blackjack, craps, roulette) but producers suggested we not point that out while performing in a casino 😂

    I love shows like this and performers like Tori. I have a rather creative mind, tempered by logic but I cannot figure out magic tricks and frankly don’t want to. The sheer genius behind them and skills required make me believe that a little magic truly exists in the world, and that is never a bad thing.
