I remember the time when this maserpiece released and how life was so good.

Never heard anything like this before! Sounds like a love story of lovers of different countries and cultures. Hats off to Rohail Hyatt and the entire team for conceiving something that is beyond anyone's imagination!

This is why i say Coke Studio Pakistan is never about good or bad songs it is about the experience, the effect and what this music does to your soul. After season 6 i was disappointed with 7 but was quite happy with 8 but with 9 it looks like things have gone way down-hill. All i can say is i miss the magic what Coke Studio Pakistan was...

Beautiful collaboration between Turkey and Pakistan. Rustam Fateh Ali Khan starts with a traditional bandish in Raag Abhogi Kanhra which belongs to Kafi Thaat. It includes 5 notes and omits the the 5th (PA) and the 7th (NI). 3rd (GA) is flat and 4th (MA) is flat too or Shudh. The bandish is set to Ektaal or a cycle of 12 beats!

I was very surprised to see my childhood friend Göksel in a video I never expected.

Hi Pakistani friends, this performing sounds like a bluesy modern jazz...isnt´t it? And at the same time, so great and sophisticated. Why most of the powerful vocalists sings and move their hands as if they were playing an invisible instrument? A great majority of the singers that i have seen do that, i wonder it is a techique for making their vocals more tuned?! Do they have a vocal protocol that is taught in music school like that? Singing in Eastern culture is something more sophisticated and deeper than the mere chanting melody-driven words that´s just what makes eastern music and particularly Pakistan and ( the less commercial ) Indian music so rich.

Lovely composition, amazing ,outstanding !!! Abhogi is a raga in Carnatic music and has been adapted to Hindustani music. It is a pentatonic scale, an audava or owdava raga. It is a derived scale (janya raga), as it does not have all the seven swaras (musical notes). Ābhōgi has been borrowed from Carnatic music into Hindustani music and is also quite popular in the latter.

This song has something to it. The singer is casting a spell with his voice I and just can't get enough of it, I am addicted to it, especially the starting part of song with Rustam Fateh Ali Khan. This song makes you wanna forget everything. POWER of music.

It is unfortunate that Rustam, the best of Patiala, got the least of exposure. It was generally held that his rigorous schooling in classical music rendered him somewhat incapable of keeping up with modern orchestra. Well that doesn't appear to be the case anymore. It is heartening to see him rhyming perfectly here.

I've never seen instruments like this in coke studio these days. They are quite unique, something off the line. And the collaboration with different musical cultures and clothing up their styles it really mesmerizes me. Rohail hyatt is the max plank of music.

The composition, beat and rhythm is timeless, it grows on you like a magic spell. This arrangement will always standout despite we have seen many more CS seasons after this one. I simply love everything about this song.

In my opinion coke studio is a project that aims to popularize the music of several different ethnic groups, allowing musicians from each country can express the most personal possible their talents. When I heard the cokestudio the first time, I was already somewhat familiar with Sufi music but when I heard being performed by a team of musicians have tuned into the current contemporary music, I almost lost it, I fell in love indeed for her because talentosíssimos and quite unknown musicians in the West, as an example Sahim Zahoor, Misha Shaffi, Alohar, and others, with unparalleled musicality playing together ... with their own instruments of their countries and ethnicities. I do not think I stop loving the music of this country anytime soon. I am not a Sufi, nor Christian, even less a Muslim, I believe in a God nothing personal or devised by human minds but consider It a magnificent expression of divinity present in every human being presented in this stage musicians, using the cream of the technology to express his art and his love for the Creator.

Sir, you don't make songs for public, your songs are special for individuals. You make entire songs for different individuals which can relate to different individuals. So much music . . . . .
