Surely I cannot be alone in my passion for Werewolves in film? Sadly, we've seen a massive decline in quality for these types of movies over recent years and I think that is because of the SFX cost for bringing these creatures to life as well as vampires being more relatable for most audiences etc. But holy shit I miss the good old days of my childhood and seeing these exceptional films for the first time. Luckily as I explain in the video, there is potentially a bright future for this sub-genre and hopefully, the lycanthrope will be taken more seriously once again. Enjoy the video, like, subscribe if you're new and please let me know your favourite Werewolf films in the comments if you feel I missed anything great. Stay entertained peeps.

This was very well done! Great overview and I was very excited to hear about the new movies coming out as well, many I hadn't heard about before!

Thank buddy. I also discovered an ocean of crap in my journey to make this vid haha. But luckily there were a few positive sounding films to talk about. One I missed was The Howling remake, which I should have talked about. I believe the director of the recent IT movies is involved but it is also lacking in info right now. All the best buddy.

This is a sub genre that I really never got into. I guess for me, Dog Soldiers would be my favorite, as it combined horror & action.

Then I wouldn't even know what film to recommend. I think Werewolf films are best when they are intense and acutely frightening. American Werewolf in London had those elements but was injected with comedy also. I think that's why I made this video as I was imagining to myself some kind of perfect werewolf movie that had all the perfect elements of suspense and horror.

Yup Wer has the cop drama and Nick Damici stars in Late Phases. Damici needs a retrospective because he's in some decent films. Plus, he's a great writer and director in his own rights! I really enjoyed his Mulberry Street (2006)! @ENTERTAINtheDUDE

I want to see Ginger Snaps and Spanish great Paul Naschy in his series of werewolf flicks. My favorites are the Universal classic and Dog Soldiers. I dread the Werewolf in London remake but 🤞 🤞 🤞 Wouldn't it be cool to see an apocalyptic story with zombies and a post-apoc lycanthrope survivor as antihero?

That would be nice to see. The walking dead with a Werewolf element would be interesting. I never watched ginger snaps as I always just assumed it was teen romance with a Werewolf. If you recommend it then I'll give it a go. I also never around to watching the Marvel wolf by night film that came out last year. Hopefully I included the best in the vid 😉

Wow, you put a lot of work into this video and it paid off for sure. Very enjoyable. I was unaware of the new werewolf films coming early next year and I'm definitely looking forward to them. Man, Max Landis has got some big boots to fill with a remake of his father's classic. He should have tackled "Paris", which as his dad said was shit. I'm glad you kicked it off with An American Werewolf In London, one of my all time faves of any genre. I could talk about that film all day and I think I did for about a week after seeing it in the theatre. The opening scene on the moors, the transformation scene, the doctor making the visit to East Proctor and the local pub, the music, Jenny Agutter and on and on. Sorry to ramble here. Lol. Anyway, thanks for a great video. I know you're looking forward to Nosferatu as much as I am and I'll be greatly interested in your thoughts after seeing it. Anyway have a great weekend and stick to the road...Stay off the moors!

Hello Mark. Yes American Werewolf in London (not Paris 😉) left a huge mark on me also. Weirdly, it was one of my favourite films as a kid because there was nothing else like it. In my research to find hopeful upcoming films it was depressing how much crap there was as it seems like the werewolf has been reserved for productions with no cash haha. But The Howling is also getting a remake from the director if the recent IT films which could be interesting. Anyways, thanks for the feedback once more and hopefully we'll get a trailer for Nosferatu soon to discuss. Take care dude 😎

Just finished watching and like always awesome video! I remember seeing a few of those movies back in the day, the pratical effects is what made all movies better back then compared to cgi these days. Maybe in this day and age someone will finnaly go back to using practical effects and create a werewolf movie worth watching. Anyway keep up the hard and good work! Would love to see some video about your favourite Arnold Schwarzeneggers movies and what made those so great back then 😁.

Yes, I need to talk about Predator soon, thanks for reminding me. Many directors boast about practical effects but it mostly turns out to be gimmicky in most cases. I just hope the upcoming films I mentioned pay off ;) Take care buddy.

Do you know what? I was editing and realised the video was going to be long enough haha! So I just thought, I'll save my thoughts on that for a separate vid if it ever gets green lit. I hope it does get made as last I heard, it was sitting on the shelf. Andy made the recent IT films right?

I suppose i am inthe minority in loving The Wolfman of 2010 with its atmospheric look and the costumes and a truly badass werewolf. Werewolves are supposed to be strong and not ineffectual as in True Blood.

I know I've seen it around 8 years ago perhaps. Is this the film with the insanely tall actor that is portraying the werewolf in the film? If so, yes I remember it being very creepy but cannot remember the ending too much.
