August 1962 these matches were taped.. Original Series was Championship Bowling. Yes lady Isabelle, hottest bowling groupie of all time!!

Bowling at this time was all about roll and accuracy. It was pure skill. Today its too much about the technology of the bowling ball. The powers that be ruined the game. My dad bowled averaged 201 and shot a 299 in 1964 and got in the bowling HOF at that bowling lanes. Now you could bowl a 299 and lose the jackpot to a 300.

I do like this era but you could admit they could have put some more wrist action into it. Unless the oil patterns wouldn’t allow it

@@LowEnd31st Will the hard shell balls and heavy even pattern oil I think a spinning action would have been less effective than a rolling action like the best did. A spinning ball would deflect a bit more and not take out the 5 pin, unless a guy could create amazing revs.
Wagner's style reminds me of wrong foot Lou Campi.Something weird about his approach.

I AGREE with you 1,000% because this was when bowling was bowling. Like the NFL, NBA, MLB & MLS the bowling is now CRAP too & isn't worth watching anymore either. LOVE YOUR COMMENT.

actually they averaged around 200 which is quite good at that time
