I bowled as a Junior in Waterloo, Iowa at Cadillac lanes. Not too long after my 16th birthday I rolled a 702 in the Saturday morning league. I worked for the Zahn Family in Tempe, Arizona and bowled in league with Wayne and his Father Earl. Great people to be with a work for. I really enjoy the old championship videos. thank you.

I can't believe how tough the alleys were back then Marlboro was one of the first bowling alleys that would have a oiling machine for the lanes in fact they said that the oil was set up to make it easier to get better pin scores but this turn event everything had to be perfect by the ABC rules

Once again we witness the man who owns the lanes making the tv finals. My question is this….who was responsible for conditioning the lanes for the tournament? Ill tell you what if that was ME 8 would know every nook and cranny of my lanes.

Buzz Fazio is my all time favorite bowler. Loved watching him on a live show on Saturday nights on Chicago TV. I don't know if it was a local show. Live was great because there were some great ad libs by the bowlers.

Ray Bluth was the 1st Pro Bowler I ever saw on TV. Oh Wow! Pete Carter getting nasty with that Brooky Celebration in the 6th frame of the second game. LOL. Ray answers back - Boom Baby! Announcers calls Carters Brooky as "Out in Ebbets Field" Nice.

I love how Bo spoke about how if Pete changed his shot, he'd carry that 10 pin. Bo may be a great commentator and may have won a few but he definitely ain't no Pete Weber. And i absolutely detest Pete Weber.
