This is a video of the last three games of the 1991 Flint PBA Senior Open from Flint, Michigan. Stepladder finalists include Richard Beattie, Gene Stus, Jimmy Certain, Earl Anthony and John Hricsina. Anthony defeated Hricsina in the first match. Denny Schreiner and Mike Durbin are the commentators on ESPN's broadcast of the PBA Senior Tour. sitting in the crowd was flint bowling legend and hall of famer Howard Gilroy, who was instrumental in getting Earl to come to Flint many times during his bowling career and sub in our classic leagues on occasion. Earl always drew a big crowd on those nights!!!
It wasn't his last, he un retired somewhere in 1996 or 97. Earl was my idol growing up, and this telecast was important to me.
I wonder why I never saw Suzi Anthony at Earls senior matches? She was always there for his 41 titles. I always loved seeing her.She is a cutie.
Was this actually Anthony's last performance? A great match although I do feel that Beattie's victory was under appreciated by the local Michigan fans. He also deserved a standing ovation if you ask me.
