    To be honest: I bought mine on a Financing contract (I am a German, so excuse my wrong engl. term...) and that is pretty good to handle. I pay 90 Euro per month, for a couple of years and i have the guitar of my dreams whenever i come home... It is like Hollyday... everyday!

    Bro, reading this makes me really happy! Congratulations on that! I’m hesitant to buy the amp I really want, a tone king amp, and either a Gibson es-335 or a distinguished gretsch, and reading this motivated me to pull the trigger on something. What style of music do you play and which amps you use with the gretsch. LG! :)

    The Player's Edition has every feature I would want on my own Gretsch: locking tuners, Graph-Tech nut, slimmer heel (for upper fret access), thinner body to prevent feedback and be more comfortable, treble bleed on master volume, no-load tone pot, string-through Bigsby for easier string changes, and a pinned bridge to prevent it from slipping out of place. They're just a bit pricey :-)

    Suggestion....I really like the idea of Pete presenting a "Guitar Of The Day" and think they should follow Normans Rare Guitar format exactly. Have someone behind the camera talking to Pete or whoever is going to play. Cover various guitars with their model history and who plays them and then do 2 or 3 songs. The difference... a little more affordable. Do all the high end custom as well artist models. Do it weekly or even daily. Just try to do good music and do a song for each pup on a schedule that subs can look forward too.

    Hey JT 66, what's your opinion on similarities between the two guitars? I've read some Gretsch forums, people saying "it's just a 335" kind of thing. They're full hollow, deep-body Falcon fans for sure. Seems to me this guitar is a lot different from the 335. But I've never really spent time with a 335. What do you think?

  • @carpediem4413

    @carpediem4413

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@cmeimgee I would say the Gretsch center block players edition and the 335 are great guitars. The 335 has a more warm woody tone/feel while the Gretsch is a bit more bright/clear. Depends on what you want. Similar sizes. 335 neck might be a tad narrower. Also comes down to look/feel - if you like that Gretsch bling or the more toned down 335 look.

    @@rickeymitchell8303 totally understand your statement but I'm 35 and I've got these built up since I was 14 I worked paper rounds and odd jobs to get my guitars. non of them overly expensive apart from my union jack she raton which was a gift from my wife. I don't actually own my own house I rent but I would sell the house either way lol. its took a long time to get my guitars I don't have money to spend on anything I want because kids and family come first. but your statement about other people I agree with. my most expensive guitar was 150 pound it took me a year to save up.i know I sounded obnoxious but I'm a family man with kids don't have money to spend I'm a tattoo artist who earns enough to keep my roof over my head and my family fed and clothed I apologise if u took this the wrong way. Two of my guitars are now technically my little girls as they took a liking to music so I like to think they have daddy's genetics when it comes to music. they are Spanish guitars, even the Union jack noel Gallagher style one wasn't that expensive as its a copy of a sheraton from a young age the beatles and oasis shaped my life. anyone who wants a guitar can buy one even if it takes a year to buy a 50 pound guitar like one of mine by saving. but I agree with u I m lucky but I just wanted you to know I'm not one. of the arse holes who just buys what they want when they want because they can afford it. I'm lucky enough to have been taught to save by my mum and grateful for all my guitars. hope u understand I'm no ponce who has loads of expensive guitars and money. I just decided when I was a kid I wanted a guitar so I worked and saved little by little u til the day came when I could by it. but I agree with u comment no hard feelings. from ur comment u come across as a sound personand would grately except a chat with u cheers Rob from uk
