I am a Japanese judoka. It is a video that makes you feel how "all judokas want a clean one". In the world of competition, it is more important to get points than to get one, and it cannot be denied. It's all about winning. If so... It might be good if something like a championship is held to see how beautiful one can be taken. It's like a major league home run race. It's like "questioning the artistry of one piece" within the time limit. I want to inherit the beauty of judo.

There's never a boring judo(except for whitebelt) but black belts above it is very technical even if it wasn't an ippon you would enjoy it for it's technicality as a judo practisioner

@@toynoi5792 I disagree, watching a slow contest with a win by disqualification is so boring to watch, even if they are Olympians

Mooie ippons gefeliciteerd.
Hi! Love your videos! You are mentioning quite regularly that you do Judo yourself. What weightclass are you fighting in right now?

I don’t compete anymore. For some reason I competed at 90kg but only weighed like 87. I’ve lost a lot of weight and only weigh 80 now. I could probably make -73 if I tried lol
Wonder if I could use any of these in hs folkstyle wrestling lol be awesome

1220 why do you say that is uki otoshi ?I have no idea what it is. It should be impossible. But it looks more like a nage or guruma. Te guruma?
@JudoHighlights2015

Sorry I made a mistake. It’s sukui nage, according to the Kodokan

@@JudoHighlights2015 listening your videos...I thought you are an aussie. But this doesn't matter.... matters only good & fair judo techniques.
There are too many throws that are hard to name, maybe Judo Highlights can ask around so we can learn about those? Maybe some are just no name throws? How would officials name them? 🤔

@@JudoHighlights2015 Awesome.
1:02 blue is in kawazu-gake situation. That should have been hansoku-make against blue. 3:13 has nothing to do with uki-otoshi.

I know Kawazu gake from hooking it from the outside from an osoto gari. Maybe I’m wrong. And yeah I got the technique wrong. It’s sukui nage, but 3:13?

@@JudoHighlights2015 Kawazu can be performed also from the front. Still illegal kzread.info/dash/bejne/loh92riBgrvWfrQ.html As far as the other technique, i excluded uki-otoshi because there is no contact in it, just pure kuzushi. Once you go for a lifting action... uh... really hard to say, lol! I'd place my bet either on sukui-nage, since among its variants there are things like te-guruma kzread.info/dash/bejne/qIlqw6xrm6nen6w.html or maybe an even better candidate could be obi-tori-gaeshi, given the high cross grip on the belt kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKSXmpSMotjUhbg.html Anyway, sometimes competition techniques get really messy, i get it, so many times it's hard to say at first glance. Who cares, you're doing great with your clips. HIGHLY APPRECIATED!! 👏👏👍

3:13 is when the technique ends in the replay but if you click on it goes to the seoi. Lolololol no, i meant the pickup happening a couple of seconds before that. Should have stayed more conservative with the time, sorry. Anyhow... that seoi... mhmm... i have a recollection about seoi with the leg out being called "seoi-otoshi" on western books, but according to Kodokan seoi-otoshi is just a "drop-seoi" kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKlltq-PftHXY5c.html so i have no clue on how to call that one 🤷♂️
