It's truly special when a piece of music can consistently evoke such a strong emotional response. The power of a slow-building track to send shivers up your spine speaks volumes about its composition and its place in both music and movie history. These moments capture the essence of what makes a musical piece not just memorable but phenomenal, resonating with listeners and viewers across time. It's a testament to the artists' ability to connect deeply with their audience, creating experiences that linger long after the music ends.

Your observations highlight the balance between visual presentation and authenticity in live performances. Utilizing technology, such as keyboard-triggered samples, offers flexibility and can enhance the show's visual appeal, as you mentioned with the choice of a visually striking moment over a more traditional setup. It's interesting to consider the alternatives, like smaller bells with 'big sound' sample triggers, which could maintain both the visual and auditory impact while staying true to the rhythm. Your insights into the performance's production choices offer a thoughtful perspective on modern live music presentation.@@ChrisM541

Well, Hans Zimmer for sure is the most hottest and most wanted film composer currently out there. But I would still say that the John Williams is the greatest film composer. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, ET, Harry Potter, Schindler's list etc... But funnily enough, neither of them (Hans or John) are not even necessary the richest film score composers. They are constantly in the top 10 but it depends what list you are looking at. There is also Ennio Morricone (all the famous westerns), Danny Elfman (Tim Burton stuff and Spider-Man) and Alan Silvestri (The Avengers) popping up regularly.

@@mejla6 Maybe because of seeing the movie but when I hear the opening (before it really get's going) I picture the jets taking off. When they're taking off it makes me feel so damn proud of the pilots, etc. for protecting the US. Like a of people, I had family members in the military. My paternal granfather was in WW1, his 2 older sons in the Army Air Corps in WW2. One was a ball turret gunner who flew over 30 missions. He had problems when he came home. My father was USMC in Korea. He had a cousin shot down by the Luftwaffe over France. He was KIA and is buried in France. I didn't mean to go on. 🙂 🇺🇸
Not just a fantastic composer, but Hans puts on a spectacular perfomance. And he wouldn't do it without the AMAZING Guthrie Govan!

@@mejla6 They definitely need to be careful of (false) accusations of backing tapes - though here, someone 100% will be playing this live using a keyboard to trigger the samples. Fine looking gal hitting a big bell or hairy assed haggard on the keyboard? I guess they went for the image choice here. Still, they could have set up the real thing. Could also have used smaller (for < footprint) bells + 'big sound' sample triggers on them - she seemed to know what she was doing, rhythm wise...pun intended ;)

On March 3, 1969 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. They succeeded. Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School. The flyers call it: TOP GUN
