The First segment is "The News", where they discuss the Bathurst Car Race. The second segment is the Eric Bana Guest spot.
Note; Australia and England have a Centuries Old sporting rivalry, as demonstrated by the Ashes Cricket test series.

in 1882, England lost a game of cricket to a colony (Australia) for the first time ever. it was quite a shock below is an example of one response.
On the 2 September 1822, a more celebrated mock obituary, written by Reginald Shirley Brooks, appeared in The Sporting Times. It read:
In Affectionate Remembrance
of
ENGLISH CRICKET,
which died at the Oval
on
29 August 1882,
Deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing
friends and acquaintances
R.I.P.
N.B.-The body will be cremated and the
ashes taken to Australia.

The burying the beer part is 100% correct
very much agree about the minimal other countries from which you can generally banter with a given member of its population. Aus/Eng, and Aus/NZ are the two that 'll say as an australian we would do that with. depressingly minimal list reallly
Burying a stash a few weeks ahead of an event is common.
on a side note the ashes are back in Australia where it belongs :)

Just watched this on Dave. They deleted all the interview and went straight to driving the RPC,Can't see any reason why, anyone know?

2 guesses. 1. Promoting binge drinking by saying 24 beers per day for 4 days, is lightweight. 2. BBC claimed rights on product they no longer care for

Certainly none of the other reasons mentioned, it's easy to explain - there's ad breaks on Dave, but the show still has to fit in a one hour slot, so they have to cut out bits to make roon for commercials. Shame really

When they first aired this on Aussie (commercial) tv. They had the Gall to show some of the best funny bits in the Adds for the Show, and then stupidly dropped them for the actual show, due to excessive add breaks. How Dumb is that?
Australians pronounce Bathurst like a northerner would.
