Have you made any of these mistakes with your gaming laptop? 🤔 Check out my top 9 gaming laptops hacks in 2 minutes next! kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYGnlLdsmJrFdrg.html LOTS of comments saying "just get a pc lol it's faster" as the video has been suggested out to a much larger audience than usual. A few things: Firstly, an RTX 3060 desktop is only like 8% faster than a laptop for similar money: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWWnpa6pm7LRmLw.html Secondly, not everyone just sits at home, some people need portability, and even if the device is only used at home not everyone has space to maintain a dedicated area for a full on PC setup, or the money to have both a PC and cheaper laptop. Thirdly, why are you clicking on a video with laptops in the thumbnail if this is what you think?

I cant stress how important it is to clean your laptop. Take your time to learn how to slowly open to back of it to get the dust out. Then slowly again take your time to learn how to remove/replace fans and clean them. And again slowly learn how to change your thermal paste. It's not as hard as you think you just need the right tools to unscrew a few screws here and there.

I wouldn't entirely recommend updating the BIOS on a laptop. The reason is that laptop OEM's tend to discard support for the laptop in question after the first 6 months, so, even if there are major BIOS updates for a given chipset/platform on a desktop that could uplift performance, eliminate bugs and make the hw running better overall, you can frequently forget getting that for the laptop. Additionally, even if the laptop OEM releases BIOS updates for the laptop you bought, updating the laptop BIOS is precarious at best. There are no safety features in place to protect against a bad BIOS flash for example. Take Acer for example. I have had good success with their laptops in general in terms of performance and cost... however, their BIOS support is lackluster to say the least. I currently use a PH517-61 with desktop grade Ryzen 2700 (replacable) and Vega 56 (which was soldered to the motherboard). The cooling in the machine is amazing (with ridiculously quiet fans as well), and the motherboard is a B450 one which has the ability to support Zen 2 and Zen 3 CPUs... but Acer stopped support for this unit 6 months after releasing it... meaning they also never released new crucial BIOS updates with relevant AGESA versions that would have fixed performance problems, solved bugs and patched various security issues that AMD published to date... and of course, this also prevented users of this machine like myself from upgrading the Ryzen 2700 to say Zen 3 (5900x or 5950x - the cooling in this unit can EASILY handle 105W TDP cpu... so installing these, and even running them in ECO modes would have been amazing and added to the overal lifespan of the laptop and of course, it would have improved efficiency too). Plus, on the second occasion I tried updating the BIOS... it killed the laptop... basically the bios update failed and it turned my laptop into a massive/expensive paper weight. This was eventually solved by replacing the machine, but it was a major oversight on behalf of Acer for not installing proper protections in place to allow the user to recover from a bad bios flash. There are of course methods that would allow a person to re-install a BIOS update themselves, but it requires a proper BIOS chip reader for a laptop, and knowledge to push it through. Its doable, and can be done relatively fast (so I don't understand why it takes Acer IT service over a month to do it themselves). Plus, some laptop units have ENCRYPTED BIOS-es... meaning that even if you try TOUCHING the thing (aka making say a backup of it with a bios chip reader for laptops), you could end up breaking it. This is unacceptable as far as laptop standards are concerned.

There is a faster way but you will need two people. If the desktop PC is elevated at a highest possible distance you can go by hand, and then turn it upside down, it can boost the speed up to 75.8%. Next you'll want your friend to turn the monitor sideways while elevating it the same way like you did the PC, you should then see it gives you another 45% speed increase. And that's how you can boost your download 123.8% faster by utilizing the power of gravity. It works guaranteed.

Optimization and tuning is key with gaming laptops. There really is so many little things you can do to improve performance like disabling steam overlay(CPU went from 95-88 degrees), making sure all the different power settings in windows are set to performance, grab a laptop cooler for better airflow, and last but not least overclock you’re GPU because now adays GPU temps are much much lower in gaming laptops. I no joke went from 55-65 FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn with a consistent 96 degrees on my CPU to 85-100 FPS and a max CPU temp now of like 88 degrees. Lower temps means you’re boost clocks can be maintained better from what I’ve noticed

The fan was just not speeding up even though it was plugged straight into the wall so what I did was I cut the fan speed wire so it would run at full speed all the time, and that was the best because it never got hot and boy was it ever popping out of a lot of warm air and it kept the performance up because I would always have it on high performance and sometimes enable razor cortex boost so yeah
