A tunnel is an underground passageway, dug through the surrounding soil/earth/rock and enclosed except for entrance and exit, commonly at each end. A pipeline is not a tunnel, though some recent tunnels have used immersed tube construction techniques rather than traditional tunnel boring methods.
A tunnel may be for foot or vehicular road traffic, for rail traffic, or for a canal. The central portions of a rapid transit network are usually in the tunnel.

@Rajendra Kumar You should read a Article regarding Atal Tunnel. This video is made before opening of Atal Tunnel when it is under construction. Previously Length Estimated was 8.82 km. But after fully completed when it measured once again The Final Length is 9.02 km. So, kindly know some History before commenting. Thanks

This Atal Tunnel , 9.2 km in length, in India stared in 2010 and completed in 2020, I.e. 10 years. Atal Tunnel is about half in length to that Qamchip Tunnel. So India’s 9.2km tunnel took 10 years to built whilst 19.2 km Qamchip Tunnel took only 2.5 years. That means China tunnel building team is 8 times more efficient than the Indians. Imagine EIGHT TIMES MORE EFFICIENT.

@@youfeerich540 At a length of 9.02 km, Atal Tunnel is the longest tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 m) in the world also note that a rail way tunnel is different from a tunnel designed for vehicles. Qamchip rail way tunnel is much much more narrow. I think a better way to gauge is to figure out the volume excavated for both tunnel. I doubt China tunnel building will be 8 times. it might be at most twice more efficient if anything.

rich now that lockdown is over and wheels of economy are spinning again, funds will also slowly come in. But corruption....... yeah, a big problem yet to be tackled on war footing, and our govt is not pushing hard enough in this direction, why, because many in it's own fold have their hands dirty, and the govt need these people.
