A review of a few magic items you might want to check out in the remaster of Pathfinder 2e, item levels 2-10.
Oh, and I had to use images from a few files that weren't exactly what they purported to be. The boots of bounding and eyes of the cat were actually images from different magic items, because art for the magic items I featured technically doesn't exist yet (as far as I could find). Still, I think they work.

    One of my favorites is the bracelet of dashing. It's a nice low level item that can provide a good emergency speed boost, before you have access to things like Boots of Bounding. It pays off most when you use it early in a fight, or if you're gonna start running a lot or need to start an escape.

    Trick magic item with a level 2 tailwind lets you get that speed boost all day long. Trick magic item with fleet step gives you STUPID levels of speed boost for a combat.

    @@ColdNapalm42 Oh right, tailwind's a thing. I've seen a lot of GMs ban or nerf it, though, and the bracelet is a LOT cheaper in the meantime. As for fleet step, that's a very potent option too, though trick magic item is gonna require you to invest another action on top of casting the spell in combat, if you're not a caster, so you won't be moving the turn you cast it if you don't have it on your spell list normally. (Plus you gotta draw the scroll or wand.) The bracelet at least is a single action and doesn't require any free hands.

    Number 2 is great with conjunction with the Pathfinder Field Agent Dedication from Lost Omens: World Guide. You will need to wait until 4th level, but the dedication allows a casting of any cantrip as an innate spell.

    Wayfinders can be fun, and if you want the extra power of 2 Aeon Stones, the Biresonant Wayfinder can do just that while otherwise still providing the same benefits of the normal version at later levels. I'm really enjoying these videos so far. You're doing an amazing job, and I'm looking forward to what you upload next!

    Great guide! You make good points about the usefulness of Perception. I would add that improving your Perception modifier also improves your Perception DC. Many actions in the game are rolled against other characters' Perception DC. Some of the more common ones are Sneak, Hide, Lie, and Feint. Improving your Perception modifier makes it harder for monsters to use these actions successfully against you.

    @@PsiPrimeProductions1 Oh for sure, but whenever I leave a specific comment relevant to the topic, that's extra good yeah? But also, it's hard to determine what is and isn't good and useful. On AoN, it feels overwhelming.

    Three of those are on my just buy list for Society games (since you cannot wear two pairs of footwear). Will have a look at the goggles as an option as well.

    Lots of stuff coming down the pipeline for Paizo as of the posting of this comment. I'll get back to more item reviews when I can, but there's some exciting stuff happening right now that I want to cover. But you aren't alone, lots of people want to see more item reviews, and I've received the message loud and clear.

    The doubling rings are a sort of item that is in its own category for different types of dual wielders. The blazons of shared power are similar to the doubling rings but are more useful for someone like a gunslinger since it's not restricted to melee weapons, and there's also the thrower's bandolier.

  • @PsiPrimeProductions1

    @PsiPrimeProductions1

    Yeah, Blazons of power are nice, but doubling rings let you trade out your off-hand weapon on the fly. So if you get a few weapons made out of things like cold iron or silver, you can swap them out as needed. They both have their place. Plus, blazons of power aren’t in GM core.

    I'm not sure what it says about the games I play in, but I prepare Gentle Landing (Feather Fall) a lot! I consider it a staple! So, yes, those sandals are appealing!

    What kind of games are you playing where you need gentle landing all the time? Do you exclusively adventure on mountaintops and sky cities? Actually . . . that sounds like an awesome campaign . . . can I join?

    @@PsiPrimeProductions1 My gaming group has an unhealthy obsession with airships, so there's at least at 60% chance one will show up in a given game - and if there's airships, there's cause to prep gentle landing. Gentle Landing is also really good when dealing with pit traps (at least on the non-spiked variety). And don't forget the rooftop infiltration scenarios! This can be useful both getting IN and getting OUT of a target location! Few guards expect you to make for the roof... And yeah, there's a strong collection of mountains & sky cities in our games too! I'm just used to thinking in three dimensions the vast majority of the time! LOL! And, hey - if you're at Gen Con this year, I'm probably going to try & get a creator game together at some point!

    Hey Psi, you asked in a previous video that your figuring out what people like and what not (I came to late for that) so: I pretty much loving any 2e content of yours, my favorite up till now is bringing Pop-Culture stuff into Pathfinder (i.e. Delicius in Dungeon or the ballister video). Well this is just my opinion as one guy but I can still get interested in pretty much anything.
