TOP 5 Knots You Should Know: Beginner's Guide to Fishing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I show you my top five fishing knots that I use most often. I go through step-by-step to show you how to tie these knots and the situations that each knot is best in. Whether you're a beginner or you've been fishing your whole life, knowing these knots is crucial for catching more fish. Four of these knots are used to tie line to a hook or swivel, while the fifth knot is used to tie mainline to leader material.
1. Improved Clinch Knot - 0:51
2. Uni Knot - 2:23
3. Loop Knot - 3:45
4. Snell Knot - 5:34
5. Double Uni Knot - 7:27

Really great abrasion resistance and though I've never put the Big Game line kzread.infoUgkxQ4x31pJVpClzhxzNFeILZYTW7Xbs7ZIF (any poundage) through an official test it always seems to break well above rated poundage. This line stretches a very good amount before it breaks and does well in saltwater too. Not the best line for a spinning reel in my opinion, especially if you're planning on using it for lures only due to it having a bit of memory but still a great line whether filling a spool, using as top shot or strictly for leader line. I've bought a bunch of Big game line in the past and plan on continuing to do so in the future.

Yes, turning the hook is very efficient. With ganged trebles like on a hard jerkbait, especially one with quality 'sticky sharp' trebles, the fingers method is much safer.

There's nothing wrong with a Palomar- in fact, it's stronger than a clinch. The only reason not to use it more frequently is the looping it over a large bait. I ALWAYS prefer and use a Palomar knot, if I can.

I know a lot of people are fixated on this knot but I want knots fast and easy to tie and strong. Do Not Need 100% knot unless you don't plan to use the drag on your reel. The exception is if you plan to use a long wind on leader and you need something to pass through the guides of the rod. I never take my braid/leader knot through the guides.
