So in the arbor industry we use several knots as well. And the phrase seared into every arborist's mind is TIE, DRESS, AND SET. That's the process of tying your knot. Dressing is making sure all parts are aligned and arranged properly. And setting is tightening all of it so every part touches, presses, and grabs against the other parts. This prevents a loose knot which increases chances of capsizing.

Better to use a surgeons knot for your sinker, so you can quickly swap it out if needed. It’s simply folding over the line on itself and doing a regular knot but looping through the hole twice instead of once, while keeping a loop big enough for a sinker to go through it. Afterwards slide the line through the sinker and pull the sinker through the loop you created.

The improved albright knot is pretty good for braid to mono and can be used for ropes/lines of different thicknesses there are so many knots out there it all comes down to what feels easiest for the person tying it as to which knots they end up using but its great to learn all different kinds because sometimes you discover a new one that changes how you do things like when I learned the palomar knot and the T knot (Thank You Hey Skipper for teaching me this one)

With the fg knot you need strength to pull it tight enough for the braid to bite down into the mono and also to maintain tension on it while tying it so it's not a good knot for someone who lacks finger dexterity or muscle strength

What about the Yucatan knot for mono to braid (I usualy add a half hich at both ends of the knot) and Palomar knot for eyed hooks ( or eaven swivels). Whats your opinion on those ?

Yucatan? Been fishing for 4 years and have watched tons of YT knot videos and have never heard of that knot. Easiest mono / flouro to braid - uni 2 uni. Hardest but strongest mono / flouro - FG knot. Swivels - clinch or uni. Straight eyed hooks - clinch or palomar. Off set eyed hooks - learn how to snell a hook.
