Hey, I have been in the animation/CGI industry for 3 years. I gotta say, your production quality is very clean and professional. The way you sequence your shots keeps me engaged and does a fine job of telling me the story and purpose of your design. Also your choice of music and low-volume sound effects match the video. Sound is one of the most important elements in videos. Keep up the great work!

Hats off, you are a fantastic designer and maker! The stool is my fav project out of these, thank you for sharing!
The threaded puzzle seems pretty cool. I'm tempted to make one on my cnc lathe. The chuck at the end would make a neat desk toy but not too functional for much more than you showed unfortunately. Not rigid enough. But still well designed and a neat concept. These will go on my to print list for when I stop being so cheap and buy a printer instead of watching videos of people using theirs.

Did you ever buy one? Lol.
Nice looking vid, though your depth of field is pretty shallow, which leads to lots of out of focus shots. Try running a smaller aperture (F-stop). You might need more light, but it would help with the focus issues.
That table must be one of the coolest things I've ever seen haha
That thread insert tool is super cool! Is there a way to buy it? The design looks super useful. Thanks! :D
a genius thank
That threaded insert tool is amazing. I can’t see it easily on your website. Can you share the link?
Комментарий в поддержку канала и ролика, а также труда мастера.
I'm also interessted to buy the stl files from the thread insert tool... It's possible to get this from you ?
SUPER INCREÍBLE GENIAL ASOMBROSO. TE FELICITO POR LO GENIAL QUE ERES. SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA
Hello there! At 4.27" you are showing cutting the legs of the stool with a japanese saw. What is the jig you are using for that? I use japanese saws as well but struggle to cut straight and square! Do you have a jog for it?
Their designers and solutions are amazing! Keep inspiring us with your beautiful work! Happy New Year
Very interested in that threaded insert tool! Did you make an earlier video about that or are there plants/STLs anywhere? Well done and great video!

Very inspiring, thank you for the video
Where could I download the STL files for the stud insertion tool? Love you designs. Thank for sharing.

Please get a variable temp soldering iron for the heat set inserts.
Wait ✋️ how did you time those threads in the thread puzzle?!?!

I"m amazed by your GH skills... did You learned it all by yourself? Or maybe there is a source on web, where I can learn it? Can You share Your gh scripts? something simple... or maybe You should make a YT video out of it... ...please? ;)
@ussadesign
2 жыл бұрын
I kinda learned it by myself from youtube videos but improved it a lot from my colleagues in architecture, I'm planning to make a video on how to make threads and bolts in gh, cause that's why I started to use grasshopper for my projects instead of rhino itself, later just started to script whole project in it cause was making a lot changes for just several millimeters and modeling it in rhino would take a lot of time although scripting at the beginning definitely takes longer than designing directly in rhino

@@ussadesign I'm an architect too, although i deal mostly with residential, so it's hard to develop skills when man have no practical needs for parametric design. I plan to learn it anyway, but so far I use rhino to create stuff for my camper. Can't wait for your video. 👍

I was mostly involved into large scale concept projects so had to use it a lot,mostly for facades and area calculations
the way this guys uses a router gives me anxeity
so that's where all the threaded inserts went
DO NOT use 3d printed parts for anything that operates at a high speed. That lathe chuck is fine for some slower things, But it's dangerous to use that.

So you're saying my 3d printed circular saw won't work!?
👍
3d printers still make little sense to me. They are still largely toys.
I have half a bottle of whiskey in me and still know that the 4 jaw chuck is rediculous. In fact as a wood worker I wouldn't make a single one of these with my printer, they're all rediculous and blame KZread for even recommending this to me

Yeah, this was hard to watch. I'm still trying to wrap my head around any good reason to own a 3d printer. I haven't seen anything useful.

@@alpsalish honestly I bought mine because I had a project that I wanted to do and it was cheaper to buy one and print it myself instead of sending it to one of those rapid prototype sites. It's been the only use I've found for one
@alpsalish
Жыл бұрын
@@ItsMeGiga I can see prototyping as one very valid use, but then the product has to become something else. Cool, and I hope you find something else to do with it.
the lathe chuck is gotta be a joke
Hmm those inserts are not meant to be used in this application. You need to use inserts meant to be used for 3d prints. The ones your have are for casting.
This guy would get fired from most shops for time wasting.

The drill template was a waste of time and material as well.
wait..you show us a tool to insert the brass screw things, then at 6:40 you don't even use your own tool (because it's useless and slow) to insert the 25+ of them into this print? lol
Зачем?
Or you could just buy a real lathe chuck for about $40.
I'm am avid wood worker. My father just got a 3d printer. None of this is useful. Better ways to build a stool with less work and the rest is useless.
@alpsalish
Жыл бұрын
Completely agree. 3d printers don't yet make sense as far as plastics go. The router bearing was melting the plastic template.

Wth? Those chucks don't make any sense 😀

I would imagine you would make a stand for the drill, so it would hold it while you work. Though it would need to be low speed, or that chuck would just detonate.
