Chrissie is my favorite female rock singer of the last 40 years. What feeling in her voice!! And Penelope Houston of the Avengers is my my favorite female punk singer. You just automatically believe everything she says.

How did you stop at just 5 though, with names like Linda Ronstadt, Martha Davis, Debbie Harry, Susanna Hoffs, Belinda Carlisle, Annie Lenox, Ronnie Spector, Bonnie Raitt, Tina Weymouth, et. al, still floating around out there? I originally wanted top 10...but wanted to keep the video under 20 minutes...yeah, so many greats to choose from. Seeing aretha franklin live twice was amazing. I have seen blondie live twice, never saw the go gos or bangles. The girls really have done a lot in the male dominated rock world.
