Where do you recommend staying? Is there an area that is most central to all of the sites you suggest? Ideally, we would stay close to an area with lots of food conveniently nearby.

@@MicheleNoma There are many of places to eat in Friedrichshain (Boxhagener Platz) or in Kreuzberg :) But also you will find kebab on every corner of every street in the whole city haha

This is such an informative video. Most videos you watch is people just eating and making faces. Here you actually explain the history and pay respect to memorials while enjoying the local cultures and food. This is one of the best modern vloger videos that I have seen.

Tbh Berlin is one of the best cities I've ever seen or been to, the west side is beautiful, and Germany has the right idea about recycling, trash and waste disposal. I never saw a roach there, as an American, that's saying alot. There's walkways in all places, and small shops all around with large shops to boot..anything you need is easily accessible. Tbh I contemplate moving there quite a bit. I have nothing but praises for Berlin and Germany I recommend anyone that it is a place to atleast visit.

I visited Berlin in 2016 and had visited Europe every years before COVID-19 Pandemic. Germany is one of European countries i want to visit again. Riding bike is also very convenient, once my bike collapsed and i fall down in front of street fruits shop, people around there came to ask me "How are you? Are you ok?". I am very appreciated. I have heard no smile from German people, in fact, i see smile on their faces.

The food looks great but we are trying to pick up and keep good eating and drinking habits! Loved the sights seeing. May the spirit of the Lord bless all with Health and good things, Happy Holidays!

As far as the tourist spots are concerned, a very good and informative video. But I'd give you the advice to explore the local residents' districts to get a feel of Berlin life, e.g. Schöneberg, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Prenzlauer Berg, Wedding, Charlottenburg, Friedrichshain. Tempelhof airport is a fun place to discover, too.

Great video. I have been to Berlin a few times but have learnt about some new places here. A few tips for anyone going to Berlin, take a free guided tour you will see loads online and pay like 10 euros for a 4 hour walking tour, if you want to see the rechstag you can book a free tour inside, always buy a travel ticket it costs 40 and lasts 7 days on all transport and is better than the more touristy buses you see in Berlin.

I think you have a bright tavel youtube future ahead of you, Max! Thumbs up for your eloquent historical summaries, suggested monuments and great eaterie recommendations. I've traveled Europe many time over, and Berlin is my favourite city destination. One of the "hidden" secrets of Berlin is the Stasi museum located in Lichtenberg. I knew literally nothing about the state surveillance and social control of the GDR until I visited the museum. It was such a powerful experienced to visit the once off-limits STASI HQ and walk the halls of the secret police and observe the many personal accounts about life under the oppressive GDR. I look forward to many more of your videos. BTW I'll have to make a stop at Ritter next trip! +Sub from me!

Great video Max - very professionally put together!👏 If you are short of time when you visit, the 'Insider' walking tour (4 hrs with a lunch break) will get you a huge amount of insight and historical perspective. Learn the story of 'The Granite Bowl' outside the Altes Museum if you can't view all the exhibits. Visit Fassbender & Rausch - the world's largest chocolatiers next to Gendarmenmarkt. Big respect to you for including the memorial to those who lost their lives trying to cross to the then GDR. Awful that 20 year old Chris Gueffroy was shot when the wall would come down just 9 months later. If you want to see outside the city, Potsdam to the west is a good day trip too.
