Also Bohemian Rhapsody, the video of fans singing it at Green Day concert gave me goosebumps.

Baba O’riley was the first song I thought of. To me, it defines what a rock anthem is. Simple, bombastic, and youthful. Maybe it’s the big dramatic crashing cymbals, the piano pounding out the opening chords, or the way the intro builds into the iconic verses. It’s hard to put it in words, but it’s just got that undeniable anthemic quality to it.

He's singing 10 seconds at a time at a very controlled output. Singing entire songs with long, connected phrases, chorus', verses are actually where the challenge is

We all need to take a moment and acknowledge the awesome talent of Jason's. Wow. Also I really appreciate the fact that they went to the trouble of playing all of these songs themselves.

I thought so too. Being able to jump into the middle of a song and pretty much nail it isn't easy. Singing these songs requires putting at least a little emotion into your voice and I was impressed with how he could turn it on and off at will.

Technically, the singer is talented and has good range, BUT the overall tone and sound of his voice is annoyingly unappealing. I almost stopped watching/listening. It turned me off that badly!

Drift Away is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in my life. I love the message of the song, and it's just a feel good song for when you're going through a rough time. Perfect choice for this list!

I know it's an oldie, but I love this video. You guys clearly put a lot of work in to this, but look like you were having fun at the same time. Awesome content Rick.

The singer could comfortably cover for any rock frontman ever and still sound right

@@angelinadigrazzia5401 lol....did you see his face when he was done? He can certainly sing a lot of stuff...but I think that was a bit out of his comfort range...I doubt he would want to do an entire Journey set. If he did, he'd need about a week to recover his voice.

I’m a VIP Charter pilot and have flown many celebrities including Joan Jett. She stands out as a cool rocker but also a down to Earth person who, when introduced, took her sunglasses off and looked me in the eye as she shook my hand. That is unheard of in my profession, as we are usually treated as “the help.” It was a refreshing experience and something that most people don”t see.

I obviously don't know what web browser you use, but just to say, it astounds me that I still to this day see comments like this on youtube pages lamenting the ads, when I've never had to deal with that. Mozilla Firefox has the "AdBlockPlus" free plugin, I've had this for what must be at least a decade now, I've literally never had to experience an ad. And I know it's relatively popular, but I'm surprised it's not even way more well known than it is. Though even with other browsers, I'd be shocked if they didn't at least have something similar in their arsenal, a way to combat them. I've then even been bummed with some videos I've put up on my own channel and others complain about an ad (or more) in them, but that I had nothing to do with that as the uploader whatsoever. Granted, when it comes to other certain particular websites, more have in the last few years gotten to where the site won't let you view more than the very top of it if you have an ad blocker, but if it's something I want to see bad enough I just do the "white list" thing on an individual basis (I've got probably less than 10 sites I've done that with), but KZread's never done that. I've never not been able to see something leaving the plug-in activated.

Great Alice in Chains cover! Top 5 was a home run. My favorite list you’ve made. Singing along to songs at a party or in a club really defines rock anthems and the top 5 are belted out everywhere I go at any time. Hey Jude was a surprise to not make the list since it is your favorite band.

Maybe I'm too old for this crowd, but "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf and "School's Out" by Alice Cooper would've been in my top 20.

I get that Gn'R aren't friendly to this stuff, but Paradise City is the definition of "rock anthem". It absolutely deserves mentioning at least.

Definitely more than Sweet Child oh Mine which I'm appalled they even mentioned. I'm so sick of that song being overplayed. And I actually don't like that opening riff. Paradise City is a much better song and I felt it was the best song on the album when it was first released (before they even became famous).

I am not surprised by Drift Away. It is in many of my play lists. Great list. I don't love all of the songs, but they are all worthy. I could watch you guys play covers all day.
