Maybe Matt Lauer can be redeemed with a lot of therapy and mental health help. If Spider-Man No Way Home has taught us something is that sometimes rehabilitation is better than punishment. However, there are those who can’t be redeemed because the harm was too big; those being Cosby, Weinstein, or R Kelly

I'm surprised Dan Schneider of Nickelodeon fame wasn't mentioned here. With how he treated a lot of the network's child stars (and I am sure some of the parents got involved as well), it really put a damper on not just his legacy, but the legacy of the network.

While never a fan of Milli Vanilli's music it's a shame what happened to them. Frank Farian is the true villain in their story. Rolf Harris. He was a popular TV performer in the UK since the 1960s. He appeared especially in children's shows. I'm not British so I didn't know about him until the 1990s when he was the host of the popular Animal Hospital TV show. I remember that he seemed incredibly nice and was really sympathetic towards people who lost their pets. He seemed like a really nice and kind person. In 2014, he was sentenced to more than five years in prison for 12 counts of indecent assault on young (mostly underage) girls. He had used his fame for decades as a way to get close to young people who trusted him. He denied any wrongdoing, didn't apologize or show any remorse. I was shocked when I heard about it because it was so difficult to believe. He seemed like such a nice guy. He was a big guy with a grey beard, he always made me think of Santa Claus. The least likely person to be guilty of such things.

Rolf was also a portrait painter, who did a lot of portraits of famous people (including late Queen Elizabeth II), so there was the presumption that all of these famous people would have had their staff vett anyone they meet - clearly they either didn't dig deep enough into Rolf's history, or maybe they did learn something, but didn't want to deal with controversy?

I think he thought he was like Saville untouchable, but then Saville croaked it and then the truth came out, and he was rightly brought to justice and frankly got what he deserved. Some of his songs looking back are quite questionable as well with what he was really singing about and not as innocent as they seem either, and what's really repulsive is his daughter trying to defend him when he abused her best friend for well over a decade. Oh, yeah, Rolf kept it private, but Karma is a bitch, and she always gets you in the end. The reason Saville got away with it and croaked was because of his connections, but he opened that pandora's box on his death. Ironic that Harris died of throat cancer...not lost on me at all.

I never liked Kanye West. In fact, I always HATED him, especially when I heard that he disrespectfully implied that Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves & instead got them to work for other white people. So his inevitable & eventual downfall from last year didn’t surprise me at all because he truly deserved it. That time he made Taylor Swift look bad when she was given an award that he felt Beyoncé deserved instead. I REALLY hope that Kanye West doesn’t ever regain his old status as a beloved artist because his awful behavior proves he DOESN’T deserve a good comeback at all.

Perhaps an honorable mention to consider: Logan Paul. He was gaining a lot of attention and fame as a vlogger and minor roles in films. Then his trip to the Aokigahara forest happened, and he was never the same afterwards - even a highly publicized fight against KSI (to which he lost in the rematch) wasn’t enough to give him back the fame he once had before Japan.

If you are being abused, please get help, from anyone that you know you can trust. Please know that you matter, that someone cares & sees you & stands with you & wants you to know a few things: it's ok to feel alone, it's ok to not be ok, it's ok to be scared, it's ok to feel there's no hope, it's ok to to feel & think & say what you need to feel & think & say, it's ok to wonder if it gets better, it's ok to wonder if you'll make it, it's ok to wonder about who will help protect you from your monsters, it's ok to wonder if there's any point in asking for help. (I knew about the 1st two, but Wiki clued me in on the third). She was about to become the Michael Jordan (dunk contest Michael) of figure skating! It's super unfortunate that she didn't have the natural body poise & grace of Nancy Kerrigan and saw that as a threat to her own success when she had such amazing power & strength that would've had folks saying, "Nancy WHO?"
