Some honorable mentions should go to Tonya Harding. An Olympic silver medalist figure skater and figure skating champion of the United States in 1994. In 1994 she was found complicit of hiring people to attack a fellow figure skater named Nancy Kerrigan, which resulted in Kerrigan getting a blunt force injury to her leg. As a result, Harding was banned from skating competitively for life and stripped of her nationals title. She has since gone on to become a boxer and taken on many different careers.

Tonya was actually never convicted for the attack on Kerrigan and was never legally deemed to be complicit in the attack prior to it occurring. She was invested by the FBI and a grand jury, but they never found any evidence tying her to the planning of the attack or even anything to prove she had knowledge of it prior to the incident. The only people ever charged and convicted of the attack on Nancy Kerrigan were Jeff Gillooly (the mastermind), Shane Stant (the hitman), Shawn Eckhart, and Derrick Smith. To be clear, I'm not a Tonya Harding fan or defending her in any way, I just hate the spread of misinformation. I also think it's kinda gross and telling that people are so ready to throw out the name of a woman who was never proven to be involved, but those same people don't actually know/remember the names of the men who actually planned the attack, executed the attack (a violent assault on a woman, for that matter), and who were convicted and actually served prison time for the attack.

Milli Vanilli are the prime example of how so many people in the industry cover things up. Like yes they mimed and took credit but they got such a raw deal, they where treated like it was just them to blame and no one else, but what about the managers, the record label and every single show they went on and sang “live” no one on Top of the pops faced any repercussions yet they where the ones who set it up for them to mime so why did no one working on that show come out and tell people the truth. Same with Ashley Simpson on SNL why were the higher ups on that show so mad about her miming? There was no way they didn’t know she was going on that stage to mime over a backing track. I feel bad for milli vanilli and for the people who actually sang on their tracks they were all thrown to the dogs.

He said it as an insult to Dempsey who is not gay, but it's still pretty bad. But changing the narrative of what happened is bad reporting or story telling or whatever what you all do is called.

So many of these are celebrities behaving sexually inappropriate with minors. At what point will society acknowledge that when humans dip their toes in depravity waters, they gradually immerse themselves? These criminals had a network of people protecting them and facilitating their bad behavior, which allowed them to accelerate their depravity. How different would their lives be if ANY of them had received consequences the very first time they were inappropriate with a minor & were forced to address their behavior with a therapist who held their feet to the fire. If they knew their actions would NOT be tolerated, how many of them would never have progressed past that initial phase? We have to start holding people accountable for their actions and stop making excuses for immoral behavior. Sexual predators in Hollywood surround themselves with people who enable them and justify their crimes, because they are financially rewarded for it. They have no integrity and as they see the media justify those immoral actions, they protect those predators even more vigorously. Many of these predators were caught multiple times previously and faced zero consequences. Their staff learned that no retribution was forthcoming, so there was no reason to speak up.

Also, it's not like he bet against his own team. it's ridiculously stupid that movies are canned or banned or whatever just because one person that worked on it is accused of something. it's not THEIR movie. they aren't the solo person that made it. movies are an art form and should be released regardless of what the actor or director has been accused or sentenced for. they shouldn't get any money from it, instead to go to charities or victims of their crime, but movies themselves, the body of work, is still a body of work, it's an art form. it's like finding out famous historical artists were secretly criminals and then destroying all of their art. no, that's wrong. as for inappropriate name calling are we really surprised people spurt out things out of anger? it doesn't mean the people that say them really mean it. they use to to try and hurt the other person because of their temporary anger, but it doesn't mean they talk or think like that in normal circumstances. and yes, people do feel bad after their anger has subsided. has no one been in a situation where you said something bad to someone and then instantly regretted it, not because it would get you in trouble online or in media, but because you really don't mean it and you regret hurting the person in such a way? it's just another curse word that's repeated over and over in movies and media it's no surprise people start using it. people need to know the difference between someone just saying it to temporarily hurt someone or saying it because they really mean it and are hateful when not angry as well. in most cases it's just a word, not world ending event. get over it.

This is like saying if one person gets away with crime they all should get away with it. Disney/Marvel even waited until the verdict before taking definitive action, which also was the right thing to do: wait for the justice system to do their work, to see if the allegations are even true. He never was canceled or had his career gone. He's still beloved and an influential figure. We're getting a biopic by the estate

@@robertprice4826On the contrary, Michael Jackson was included on the Jeffrey Epstein list earlier the year of 2024, tough; and even in afterlife, controversies still followed him (which is a total shame, for his soundtrack and songs are still widely beloved by listeners).

@ajpat9620 but the witness said, he really didn't do anything to the girls at all. That cleared him. I can't say the same for America's favorite president who put his daughter through that island.

@@robertprice4826 And if that's the case, then the inclusion of notable names such as Stephen Hawking on the Epstein list, is mostly and totally surprising and shocking. It's not much of a surprise that former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are included on the Epstein list, considering of their previous interactions with Jeffrey Epstein.

Protecting animals and educating people on the lifelong financial and emotional care that's required in companionship is my cause. That's why Michael Vick will always be a monster in my eyes.
