I miss having my friends come over and playing MW2 on split screen couch co-op. Was nice to both be playing games and physically hanging out with my bros with food, drink etc. Also how my relationship with my Gf started, playing GOW and L4D together at my house. Miss those days.

I came to say exactly this. I miss couch coop so much. It's not fun to have to have two different machines to play with your friends or loved ones. Nothing like sitting on a couch together and having that personal interaction as you play.

Honestly. With how powerful these new consoles seem to be, I'm surprised developers still claim to have limitations to implementing split screen modes. I mean look at BG3. Probably the best couch coop game ever.

Gamers should really petition for more local coop games. I'm tired of games that don't allow me to play with family and friends on the same couch. I mean online is fine, but not everyone has a console or a Pc.I just loved the NES and Genesis era with 90% games supporting couch coop.

My thoughts exactly. Not everyone can AFFORD Internet where they live, nor can they pay for the online Xbox Game Pass/PlayStation Plus every month. I can barely afford my rent let alone buy a subscription just to play games online! 😥

It seems Indie developers understand this. I miss games that had a single player story and arcade style co op or battle modes. Like Halo (Xbox original) or games like twisted metal

Plus, couch co-op is so much fun. Online co-op just doesn't compare, and you definitely don't have the same experience and miss out on the shenanigans.

It would probably have to be a top 5 and they all would be indie or Nintendo games. So frustrating that devs can't commit the time to making what used to be a common feature. I play games a lot with my wife but we are pretty limited to Cod MP and now thankfully Baldur's gate 3. She can't stand Nintendo's approach to co-op so that's a no go for us too.

As much as I like shooters, I want to see some different ideas for coop. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, for example. Group of you cooperate to crew a ship. I'd like to see some games where you compliment your friends abilities, explore, create, need to communicate beyond saying which enemies to shoot.

i wish western devs aren't so dependent on _super realism_ for art direction. Of the western made games here, 9 use super realism, they differ only in era and themes. Little Nightmares 3 and Hyper Light Breaker are the most unique looking

The first descendants is a must play I've played the beta and absolutely blew me away

The first descendent’s beta was so fun. The way you combo up your characters powers and weapons was phenomenal.

Arc Raiders has plenty of room to fail or disappoint, however it is my most anticipated game overall right now

No Rest for the Wicked is releasing into early access on Steam very soon with online co-op scheduled to come in its first update.

Helldivers 2 is so much fun but the crashing on my pc is still an issue, the updates helped a little.

Earth Defense 6 is releasing this summer, that series is perfect for co-op!

Streets of Rogue 2 is my most anticipated game ever and it's just a bonus mention. Keep overlooking it but it's gonna be the best game out this year.

Shadow of the Erdtree for sure, I make co-op chars in all the Souls games. its really fun, and ever since DS2 they have included the ring/talisman to let you show off your fashion ❤

Space Marine 2 is definitely at the top of my list for most anticipated games

Helldivers 2 was worth buying just wish I knew about it during pre-order for the free 3 sets but they aren't too special just cosmetic special.

YH Helldivers II i'd play if i had a PS5 the amount of progression and player dedication is hilarious. Another one i need to try is Returnal thought it was cool they did a co-op mode but its not new for 2024.

Mech Warrior... pft. Wish there was a reboot for the Heavy Gear series, absolutely loved playing that online.

Please make separate list for COUCH coop. It's SOOOO hard to find a decent engaging game to play with my wife. For now we found only few over the years - it takes two, patch quest and ship of fools. Idk, maybe there are no games like that and there's not enough for a list but one thing is for sure, most games from this list are on other lists as well. Your last couch coop games vid I found is from 4 years ago.

Helldivers 2 is one of the best games I have played in so long. You just jump right in to the fun and you DO NOT need to use a mic or have a team, joining randoms and using the in-game communication system is plenty good enough

I’m so exited for space marine I love the original and a huge fan of 40k so I’m praying it’s good

The only problem with Content Warning, "mods" aka exploits have ruined random lobbies, and you can either do a private game with friends, or randomly join or host a game: you can't choose. You also cant kick people, or add others after it starts. If they fix those problems it would be amazing.

Outward 2. Holy shit. I was hoping for 2nd part but didn't realy expect it so soon. And i don't even know why i didn't know anything about the 2nd part until now🤣

I'm looking forward to The First Descendant. They've been putting a lot of work into it, overhauling a lot from the betas, listening to feed back. It could still definitely suck, but for F2P, I think I'll enjoy it for a bit regardless.

HYPED for Space Marine II. I loved the 1st never finished it to be fair as it was only on Ps3 and only played it at my cousins when i went over, i had the 360 which is still loved but really hyped to play the sequel on Xbox hope they can get the 1st on GP, Boltgun satisfies me tho.

Toxic commando looks really fun, we need more co op games that aren't sinkholes or grind fests, not everyone is into dumping hundreds or even thousands of hours in the same game, despite how much bad PR Resident Evil 5 and 6 got ( Rightfully so for those who expected classic RE) the games are really fun and enjoyable in co op.

Honestly the Terminator survival game sounds really fun I may get it

Arc Raiders looks cool, however i disagree with more TPS. I want to see more FPS. in that genre we actually do have a lot of TPS games. Division, Outriders, and Helldivers all come to mind. But really, I'll take either.
