🤔Why no SOULMASK yet? This survival game got me hooked for a solid 80hrs on the demo alone, no joke. Love the core idea where you can become anyone with those masks. It's got a tribe system kinda like conan exiles, but way more random and fun. Sure, it's a bit of a head-scratcher at first, kinda makes you wanna bail, but once you're in, it's freaking addictive. Yeah, combat and stuff could use a bit of polish, but seriously, highly recommend it

The ones with multiplayer interactions are the most interesting. When you build a unique and fancy house, it's way better when you can show it to others.

I'm not really a "survivor" fan but that Terminator one sounds intriguing if only because it makes so much sense. Dune looks cool too but my body can't handle the amount of water I would down just playing it.

V Rising is so underrated, I've been playing it non-stop. The game is absolutely brilliant, definitely a must play. I wish there were more vampire genre games. And I'm very excited for Frostpunk 2. 🤙

Forever Skies is a good survival game that I can't remember if you guys have covered. It gives a feeling of playing Raft, but you are flying in the skies in a blimp. You can expand, upgrade, build up, and out, all while the usual survival elements are in play. It also has a hardcore mode for those who want the "one life only" challenge.

I definitely enjoyed Forever Skies, if only for a short bit. There's simply not enough content right now, even for early access. I did absolutely everything I could, and then some, in 8-10 hours. It just needs more time to cook.

I literally have Pacific Drive paused as I watch this and am waiting less and less patiently for Project Zomboid's build 42 to drop lol

Enshrouded should give more character customization. Current options make all characters look like gnomes or dwarves. It's still early access, but I hope the devs will add this.

7 Days to Die 100% should have been on this list, especially since it's going to be leaving early access soon. Almost 4,000 hours in game, some questionable developer decisions along the way, but still one of my favorites.

The general consensus among the community is that ark 2 is never actually coming out. The ark leads seem to have thrown all their eggs in the Ark Ascended basket and Snail Games financial situation is looking one mistake away from going under.

Gameranx team, guys I just wanted to say I noticed a lot of videos that you've been putting out (at least in the last period) are overlapping with topics (very similar topics, just with a different title), with games (a lot of games get mentioned constantly, and this is probably because of the topic repeat issue). Now, don't get me wrong, I love all your videos and I'm always watching them, so keep 'em coming. I just wanted to ask if you are planning to broaden your scope with different kinds of rankings. Maybe something like top gamers or top achievements, or maybe some deep dives into games, similar to "Before you buy"? I apologize if you already have those kinds of videos and I haven't seen them, I'm just going off from what I started noticing, since I watch almost every video that you put out. Cheers!

Into the Dead gives me vibes of State of Decay but played out like This War of Mine.

Abiotic factor is SUCH a good game. Not since Subnautica did I play something an ENTIRE weekend without stopping. S Tier game..

haven’t been paying attention to the dev updates from Undead Labs have you? State of Decay 3 is coming along nicely. Currently they are looking at ways they can make zombie spawns more realistic by having more in the city or less in the country, and also making it so zombies don’t respawn once you’ve cleared an area.

It's more that 7 Days has become a running joke in the gaming community because of its 8+ year Early Access. They had to do a full release if they didn't want to continue being a joke of a company.

If we look at it from how it evolved ever since it first released the early access tag could've disappeared a long time ago honestly.

It's so sad that now all post-apocalyptic survival games have to PROVE they aren't scams like The Day Before.

I really want an open world survival game with cryptids or european folklore type things. Like I love a horror element but it's always zombies or some other humanoid thing.

I like survival horror like Dead Space and Resident Evil. I hate base building and having to eat or drink. I’d love something like Chernobylite but without the base building. I like the aesthetic, atmosphere, and stealth gameplay.

Hello Games has earned my trust after all they’ve done to improve No Man Sky. Knowing that they likely learned an invaluable lesson with that launch, and that they won’t give up if things miss at first, it’s a worthy investment IMO.

I love these lists. It would be nice if the name+platform banner displayed at the _end_ as well as the beginning of each game. Many times, I don't care about the game until _after_ I've seen some footage etc, by which point I've usually forgotten what it was called and which platforms it was going to.

Absolutely digging Enshrouded! The game feels and looks so damn good. Highly recommended to anyone that’s on the fence about it! If it’s already this good, 1.0 is something to really be excited for.

Abiotic Factor sounds like an open world multiplayer survival RPG Half-Light-like and I love it.

Pacific Drive looks pretty cool, diggin the concept

Instead of throwing in games that don't even exist yet, you could incluide Fountain of Youth, a pure survival game which is better than many in this list.

Road to Vostok, let's hope *HE can nail it. It's one dude making this game. But seeing how fast he ported his entire project over from unity to godot, I got no doubt this man got the skills!

I played Once Human a lot during Technical Test 2 and 3. And it looks and feels very promising. of course it needs some optimization and a good endgame, but for me it felt like the game achieved what The day before promised. Though with a fantasy/weird touch. Seeing bases of other players next to the road while riding your bike to the next objective was really cool

"captain of Industry" not a survival but a solid duggerstion to look into and get in to one of your list vids! dont sleep on it the depth in it will surprise you!

Soulmask & Pax Dei. I tried the demo of Soulmask, there is a Lot there to explore. It's like a cross between Conan Exiles & Ark (less the bugs). Pax Dei Alpha 2 was also a lot of fun but a heck of a slog for a solo player. (I still want to play more.)

“ Western Rye “ falcon is another survival game I saw upcoming this year and it was even covered by gaming Bible, it caught my eyes because it was inspired of undead nightmare

V Rising is really fun. It has a good progression system. Beat a boss, get an ability. It's simple but really rewarding. Plus the ability to move your base is really nice in a survival crafter.

Most of the hate nightingale got was becasuse it was online only. Its crazy people gave it hate over that when the game told you it was online only b4 you bought it. Nightingale had a few less then desirable features but devs been very active. Love the game

I bought Enshrouded on a whim thinking I'll get some hours in but now a lot.... well, now I'm 100+ hours in and I still have a massive to-do list left, it's so addictive!

The thing with V rising is that it feels very passive when you play alone. It's like everything is waiting for you and nobody cares about whether you do or don't attack them. It's like every enemy is sitting in their camp or whatever thinking "oh, that's inconvenient"

Into the dead: Our darkest days, looks like a 1:1 color reskin of This war of mine. I'm sure there will be differences, but it should be a hit. Good base game to draw from.

Outward 2 really came out of left field. Honestly one of the few games that truly deserved a sequel, so many good ideas bogged down by a lack of budget, the sequel looks like they finally have the resources they need to improve the game, improving on many of the ideas that didn't work so well in the first game as well.

I’m excited for Rooted. Looks interesting. V Rising is absolutely fun and the V community is really great! I’d start PvE to understand the mechanics. Into the Dead looks cool.

For $29.99 i definitely wanna check out Pacific Drive. Unique games like that are exactly what I am always hungry for.

I’m amazed at how much 7 days to die is never mentioned on this channel.

The Planet Crafter is a Subnautica-like survival crafting game that just launched its 1.0 update in April. I just finished it (earlier this evening, in fact) and it was a great experience, especially if you love survival crafting games.

Enshrouded is cool, but they are heavily focused on multiplayer systems/mechanics, so just keep that in mind. A solo gamer myself, so I'm quite disappointed that single player stuff is kind of just an afterthought to their multiplayer-based vision

I've tried a lot of survival games, but I always go back to DayZ. It has its issues like driving can be sketchy, but nothing else compares

State of decay games were never actually bad, they just didn’t get picked up much

Vostok looks promising we need more quality single player games, love the tarkov vibe there. SoD3 will most likely be repetitive again. Aloft and into the dead look interesting too

I struggled to even get into it. Played for like 6 hours at launch. Just felt like I was sloggin along. Tried a few weeks later and felt the same. Glad others enjoy it though.

I’d just like to take this moment to thank Falcon and Jake at GameRanx for supplying us with these videos that help us more easily navigate the gamer world with knowledge we can trust.

Good picks, but I'm not sure how you missed "SoulMask", it has quite a large potential in automation, along the crafting path.

With Terminator Survivors, I really hope they allow you to capture a T-100 and make it friendly. Just imagine, having your own Terminator to protect you.
