@@TheRealKSmith most of the movies i watch are between the 2-4 range. I don't have low standards, there are just than many masterful directors. Like have you ever heard of Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Serio Leone, John Ford, Alfred Hitchcock, and Ingmar Bergman? Those 6 directors right there have a combined total of 40 10s. That's not even getting into the modern guys like Scorsese, Eastwood, Fincher, Villeneuve, Nolan, Spielberg, Coppola, R. Scott, PTA, James Cameron, W. Anderson, H. Miyazaki, Joon-Ho, Malick, Welles, Lynch, W. Allen, J. Chan, Polanski, Fellini, De Sica, Godard, Wilder, Capra, P. Jackson, Kar-Wai, who have all directed at least a couple 10s.

@@TheRealKSmith the first 5 I mentioned I said a majority of their films are 10s. The others I mentioned I said made at least 2 10s. I never said anything about every single one of all their films.

As a kid I didn’t love Empire Strikes Back, but as an adult I think it was the best of all of the Star Wars movies. I don’t know where it should be in the top movies of all time, but I definitely believe it should be in the discussion for top 100.

This list doesn't really make much sense. I know they are trying to include a wide array of movies that are culturally relevant but some of these for top 100 of ALL-TIME are questionable. There are so many stone cold classics missing it's insane. I love Anchorman as much as anyone but is it really better than Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Groundhog Day, Apollo 13, E.T., Tootsie, the Karate Kid, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Field of Dreams, Glory, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Rain Man, The Fugitive, Forrest Gump, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire, Good Will Hunting, the Truman Show, the Sixth Sense, and about 2 dozen more movies I could list off the top of my head? I doubt it.

One cool thing about Pulp Fiction, is John Travoltas role was originally supposed to be portrayed by Michael Madsen, but there was a last minute change. If you watch Travolta in that role, he seems to use a lot of Madsens mannerisms and expressions, you can almost see Micheal Madsen doing it, it's pretty cool, I think.

Expect some super popular movies to be in here, and not necessarily the best ones.

Forrest Gump isn't in here? Are freaking kidding me? Literally one of the greatest movies of the 90s and all time. Bubba Gump Shrimp actually became a restaurant chain, Gary Sinise actually had a career and became the face of disabled veterans everywhere, Tom Hanks became more famous than he ever was, we got the catch-phrase "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

i've watched them a few times and every time i try to watch them now i just kinda get bored. they are long but thats not the issue it just seems like if you never read the books then the movies really arent that good. idk things could have been explained better, it's been what 20 something years and i still have no idea what the rings actually do frodo puts on the one ring and goes invis does it do the same for him? the other rings arent even used right? eh

This is actually a good list! I was expecting some (really a lot) head scratching entries, but I did not disagree with any. They are all great films! All these films have higher rewatching value and great production value. They are all films we have all effortlessly watched more than once.

There are a lot of movies missing and movies that are not top 100 worthy but making the list is a difficult thing and I think they did a great job.

Plot, originality, captivation level, rewatchability and box office success. If this is the matrix used to come with this list, they should honestly have included some movies and left out others. And b.t.w, on movie nights, rarely has anyone ever said "Let's watch Black panther".. just being honest

I've seen 73/100.. And for ' Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs ', don't forget each frame was hand drawn, which makes it even more impressive.

I remember watching Lost in Translation. My wife was due. We were walking around close to the hospital to induce birth. She got tired so we went to the theater so she could sit down. I've still never seen the end of that movie.

The movie Casablanca has 5/50 most iconic dialogues in film history. Having 1/10'th of all the iconic dialogues makes it a masterpiece. It surely deserves a top 10 if not a top 5

I know. Its one of my all time favorite movies

Out of all superhero movie I ever watched The Dark Knight was the deepest of all. To me it was one of the greatest movie and Origin of Two-face was really good. I was so impressed. The depth of all the characters was really deep and joker who can forget him.

@@MrMrjack18 The 1933 original has more impressive and groundbreaking effects for its time. Stop-motion animation has a charm that cgi will never replicate. The 1933 original also has human characters that are likable and charismatic, which is more than I say for the 2005 version.

Shawshank smashes both of them combined.

I remember seeing a Jurassic Park exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago. They recreated the experience of the dinosaurs. Even though all of them were Animatronic, they felt so real and humbling. One came up behind me and scared the daylights out of me. I wish they'd open that exhibit again.

Yeah, "Die Hard" on this list is rather baffling, but as someone commented, "all these ratings are subjective".

You gave me a chuckle with Jurassic Park possibly being your first PG-13 movie in the '90s because it literally WAS for me. I was 9 years old when Jurassic Park hit theaters, and it was such a landmark movie that my parents let me go see it even though they tended to stick to ratings. I think the T-Rex chase and raptors in the kitchen scenes shaved a good five years off of my life. lol

An extremely huge list, and I understand why some movies were left off. Although, I wish that every movie got at least a little bit of explanation. Great list, thought!

‘Rocky’, one of the best damn Hollywood movies ever made. Sylvester Stallone did an amazing job as both writer and film actor back in mid 1970s. Won an Oscar for “Best Picture” indeed.

What about: "John Carpenter's The Thing" (1982), the master peice of practical effects. George A. Romero's "Night of The Living Dead" (1968), the first modern zombie film. George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" (1978), the story of people trying to survive the end of Society in the world that zombies are taking down. Edgar Wright's "Shaun of the Dead" (2004), the love note to and rebirth of the zombie film. Rob Reiner's "Misery" (1990), the story of a biggest fan gone to far.

There are a lot of artsy foreign films which film makers may appreciate, but certainly wouldn't make my list... Not over movies like Rain Man, Cool Hand Luke, Groundhog Day, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, The Sting, if you want old School , The Grapes of Wrath... Paper Moon was a great movie... For Zaniness ... Young Frankenstein, The Man Who Knew Too Little... What about Raging Bull? another great movie... Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid didn't make the list... Ditto Bonnie and Clyde... Heaven Can Wait... Saving Private Ryan... Hells bells, I really liked Hacksaw RIdge too... The Man in the Moon... Born on the Fourth of July... Dances with Wolves...This list was poorly conceived and that's being kind...

Once Dr Strangelove was mentioned I really hoped it will end up in the top 5. Really deserves to be featured for its never before done style of humour and non-bias picturing of US hegemony

I am happy about 12 Angry Men because it was a really good, well thought film. There are a few more I agree with like Pan's Labyrinth, Mean Girls, The Lion King. But I am disappointed Shrek wasn't respected enough, nor was Donnie Darko. A lot of the movies chosen were too mainstream and not really amazing cinematography.

I don’t agree with every choice on the list, but I can respect the person who made it. Good job

King Kong is one of my Dad's favorite movies. He is an excellent artist and drew the whole movie.

Huge appreciation for including #78. Totally worthy, but still usually overlooked. Galaxy quest would have exploded my mind in admiration. Master&Commander, however, possibly the most underrated movie in existance.

At last the most anticipated watch mojo video arrives and I’m so excited to see which film comes out on top.
