Even Ted's 2 minute date with Stella is better than half of this list

there is only one worst date, and that is Ted.

I'd have thrown the date with Cathy-who-talks-too-much in the mix, and Ted and Robin's year anniversary when she thinks he's proposing and it led to a breakup. Also, any date with Jeanette. But I like these picks too. :)

I always wished we got more of Marshall’s music montage’s. Cat funeral one of my favorite moments of the whole series.

The first one is absolutely right and basically it was the first date of Ted on the show

“I think I’m in love with you” An ultimate face palm moment 🤦‍♂️

Their first date is fine, it's what happens hours after that ruins it But again, even after the 'I love you' Robin still wanted Ted to kiss her

Why do thousands of viewers say that Victoria's great & is perfect for Ted? She claims that the best part of a kiss is the lead up to it, so it's better to not kiss, claiming that a kissless, sexless night is perfect. She makes Ted wait almost a month, then soon after chooses to move 4,000 miles to Germany, where she very quickly starts a new relationship with Klaus, despite claiming to be in love with Ted. She jilts Klaus at the altar, then expects Ted to drop everything & marry her. She gives him the ultimatum that he must stop being friends with Robin.

@@tanyamoretz not really true though... If you think about it, the moment Ted tried to put Victoria's letter on the table he kinda ran into Klaus who was just about to run away, too. So, even if Victoria hadn't shown up in the bar she probably wouldn't have got married that day.

Ross is worse. The only REALLY sweet thing he does is buying Phoebe a bycicle. 😊 Apart from that he actually is kind of creepy...

Dumping Natalie on her birthday again was the worst date, because she attacked him and may have been arrested. I still love her reaction when he dumped her.

Ted was an a hole in the first season. Then they made him a creepy stalker in the later seasons with his psychotic obsession with Robin. And then they made half the series, s6-9, completely pointless in the end. God HIMYY was so good. Shame they ruined it

Why doesn't HIMYM have the level of popularity of Friends, TBBT or the US remake of The Office? HIMYM & The Office both end badly, yet The Office has become much more popular after it ended, so HIMYM's disappointing s9 can't be the reason.

Speaking as a straight woman...he is quite attractive physically. His personality and obsession issues with women (specifically Robin) not so attractive however.

Im up to 3 out of five times. Not quite 2/3, but still. Where the show got it wrong (Except in Ted's case), is that YOU have to be the one determining that there won't be a second date. So if you can just tell that she wont want to go out again, then showing up naked in her living room, she's already written you off and it wont go well because you're giving her more reason to dislike you. However, if you are the one deciding that you're probably not going out with her, then she hasnt written you off yet and she's more open to it.

Ted and Robin were terrible all together. Not just on specific dates. The show proved time and again that they were bad for each other. Sadly the writers seemed to forget those points when they stuck to that crap ending.

Barney-Robin: they didn’t have a promising relationship. Kinda weird too. But number 1: Ted-Zoey. Just cause I hate Zoey.

What's funny, is that the actress playing Blah Blah, was Josh Radnor's actual girlfriend.

And also, yeah of course Ted was an absolute Dick to Natalie, and although I do krav maga and love it, it's just never okay to physically assault someone unless in self defence. Just imagine that had been a man assulting a woman... that would not have gotten half the "ah yeah!s" that this did.

Only for those who have already watched the whole video: I miss Barney's Date with Jennifer Lopez in this list. I mean, she turned him on, went with him to his place and then simply left. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Top 10? How about every date with narcissist ted. I mean as bad as blah blah seems, it's obvious she's had to deal with a lot of shit in her life, and she could consciously or unconsciously tell that ted was still obsessed with Robin, and for whatever reason people try so hard to get attention from narcissists like that, she was unfortunately unable to just walk away the moment she realized the problem. And of course, with any examples I could give from the show, it's what the writers made them do. ted's reaction to Cassie going through all that, instead of comforting her at any point, he acts like she's a burden and tries to bale. Natalie might be one of the best, and most glaring examples of ted being a fucking narcissist. And it's all perfectly laid out in that episode If not the most egregious example of ted's narcissism, then it's at least the very first example we see.

True. He's an unreliable narrator. The writers did that on purpose because Ted is telling the story many years later. There is a possibility that Ted exaggerates Barney's adventures so that the kids don't feel bad about their dad marrying Barney's ex (Robin). He also exaggerates how perfect the mother was so that the kids know that Ted loved their mother and give him the blessing to move on.

These are the highlights? So relieved I never watched this laugh-track ad!

Barney & Robin each make it clear for years that they don't do commitment, so it makes no sense for them to marry.

I can’t comment on the dates without losing it over the ending. Ted and Robin were the worst couple ever. Wtf can’t these sitcoms have a happy ending? The mother was exactly the right person, it should have finished at the train station. Btw the worst date was the police woman, (Janet?)
