I also got Winter Wonderland and that one is vivid winter in a palette, regardless that i don t wear blue much, because i am 50+ and would be kind of funny i changed my mind with this palette and do pastel blue or purple looks with it.

I was shocked how much I liked the Dior Silver Essentials palette. I know in the past the palettes have gotten quite mixed reviews for their formula, but I hope Dior keeps the formula they did for the Silver Essential palette. While you won't find any super special shimmer shades from the palette, what really impressed me was the blend of the shadows, while they still managed to pack quite a lot of punch. And the longevity of the shadows beats a lot of my other favorite palettes.

I see your list and don´t own any of them. Funny to see what you choose. I used and will use for december Colourpop Quartz, Colourpop Taupe, Natasha Denona Glam, Natasha Denona I need a Nude, Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge (this is a very nice one) and good old ABH Sultry. I think I´m in the vibe of cools, grays, taupes, silver at the moment. But I skipped the midi Xenon. It is very gray when I saw it in person in Oberhausen, it is too monochromatic for my taste and I feel I can dupe the vibe and need some peach or mauve anyway to make it not to gray with my eyecolor.

Those are some stunning picks as well! I picked up the Xenon and I Need a Nude in the BF sales. My intention is to mix up the two after I have tried them separately.

Hi Maaike I’m glad you did like the Dior palette 😂. I’m really happy with mine and have used it quite a lot already. If I do want to amp it up I have a Kiko water shadow in silver and a sparkly colourpop supershock with some fine glitter in it for parties. On it’s own it’s very wearable for my normal makeup and I don’t like glitter for an everyday look on myself anyway. I still have the Too Faced white chocolate and I still like mine too. I’m still thinking about the midi Xenon and will pick it up soon (maybe find a sale at the end of the month). The beauty bay palette is calling and I have never tried their eyeshadow formula- the colorstory is amazing but I don’t know if it’s too sparkly for me? The essence cool nudes is available from just my look website here in the UK, so I might pick it up to try it but truthfully it’s not that dissimilar to the Dior and I have that one and love it, so would it just sit unused? Not sure if I need it tbh. Of all the Gloss Gods palettes the smoke and mirrors is the one I like the look of most, but they’re expensive to ship to the UK (£28 for shipping ouch). I don’t think I will be buying from them anytime soon lol😂. Best wishes x

The Essence is deeper than the Dior and there are some pinks but no purples. So not that similar but I can see why you'd make the comparison. The Beauty Bay is gorgeous but I think you won't like the metallics in there. Very creamy.

Thank you. You have some nice ones there. I just received the Nomads Ghost town USA and that is perfectly dark and cool for the winter. I don’t know if you can get nomad where you live.

I went to get the gloss gods gal on Jupiter and to get to New York I would have to pay like 70 bucks! Ouch!.so bummed..looks gorgeous tho and yes the MUA cosmetics quints and the 15 pan in the plastic packaging are AMAZING! I actually decluttered a bunch of my natasha denona minis and replaced them with the mua ones! The shimmers are so much more sparkly and inpactful!

70 bucks is a lot but as someone pointed out: that's what I pay when I order things like Sydney Gracen from the US. Wait for a sale (they sometimes do 25% off) and get more than one palette to make it worth it. It is bonkers paying that for one product, if you have a bit of a wishlist and save up and wait for a sale it can work out in the end.

Hello, Mikke, recently I bought 3 discountinued palettes at your recommandation: the vintage soul (Catrice) and the cool nude palettes of Essence, and Taupe by ColourPop. Not to mention the other 3 in the last year: the cool eye shadows palette of Vieve, Falling of Catrice and Lime Crime XL. All absolutly stunning. So thank you! P.S.: every time in the last 2 years I went to Kruidvat and I've seen the Cool nude palette I thought she was interesting but I didn't buy it because I didn't knew she was good. And now she is disapeared from the shop. I found her at SH but the vender didn't used her. So, she is intouched.

Notino still sells the Essence Cool Nude Edition and those are new. But glad you were able to find some great recommendations because of my channel.
