King 2005 is so criminally underrated imo. The action is top notch but it has one of the best monster film stories of all time.

Maybe it stands out because of the epic scale and incredible visual effects. Peter Jackson and his team had already achieved them in the LOTR films and "King Kong" showed they weren't done yet with making big movies. Plus, it has so much heart and you really get to experience the bond between Kong and Ann, which makes the iconic fight in the ending more heartbreaking than the original.

To me, the Monsterverse Kong is the definitive Kong. He’s more of his own thing rather than just a big gorilla, and he’s definitely transcended into another level of kaiju-ness. Truly a badass. As cool as previous versions of Kong were, especially the 2005, I see those versions as almost an entirely different character. Those are “king” Kong. This new one is Kong. Truly a Titan. I may sound like I’m shrouding away the original meaning of king Kong, which is a very emotional story, in my opinion the most special Kong is definitely the current one, and I hope the character continues down this path. He’s practically a whole new character. He can take Godzilla on, for crying out loud! What an absolute beast!

Used to think so myself..until Godzilla vs Kong came out. Now peter Jackson's version is the definitive one for me- he's an emotional and sympathetic character, and in the same time a damn beast when he's fighting until the end. Even if he cannot win..and all this WITHOUT DAMN ASSISTANCE UGH😤

I honestly do think that the 2005 version is the best. Yes, it's 3 hours long but it really develops that relationship between Kong and Ann and shows that friendship between the two of them which is so beautiful. Plus, you can't beat the classic story!

Lol yeah but those are bullets. If you're only that big you can definitely die from multiple airplanes shooting at you. But that 3 v 1 fight is my favorite. It's really shows how strong and tactically smart Kong is. And the fact that the new Kong is a LOT bigger, smarter, and stronger makes me happy..

Kong battling the V. Rexes, IMO, is the most epic battle Kong has done. He takes on not 1, not 2, but 3 of these dinosaurs. And the battle between the last one and with the fatality Kong pulls is just so great! As Kong then pounds his chest in victory

My favorite moment when Kong went beast mode was probably in his fight with the Skull Devil. Totally amped for Godzilla versus Kong! It’s about time my two favorite movie monsters had their rematch! Team Kong all the way!!!

So many great Kong moments to choose from, but I think my absolute favourite action moment is when he fought the elasmosaurus in the original film. The lighting, the music, the animation. It's just perfect.

The battle against the T Rex's is aging so well, in my opinion that's one of the most exciting CGI scenes ever in cinema!! I remember the first I saw it when I was a kid and how I was totally out of words after!! That movie was so good for the time!!

What I really like about Skull Island is that it really portrayed King Kong as a titan not just a huge gorilla like the 2005 King Kong movie

King Kong in the 2005 version looks more accurate version of what Kong is, a really big ape. Plus he has more character.

I absolutely loved Both 2005's and 2017's King Kong Films mainly because of the cool creatures on Skull Island. My favourite creature in Peter Jackson's King Kong is the Venatosaurus and favourite one in 2017 Skull Island is the Holy Tiger even though it was cut from the movie.

Peter Jackson knocked it outta the park with the remake. Blew me away when I first saw it back when I was 13. The original 1933 film will forever be iconic, and Jackson's film is definitely one of the best remakes ever.

My favorite King Kong films are King Kong of 2005 and Kong: Skull Island and my favorite moments of Kong's fighting mode in those films are these. Kong: Skull Island, his battle with the biggest Skullcrawler. King Kong 2005, his battle with the 3 dinosaurs in order to protect Ann. My main favorite moments of Kong in his fight mode are mainly just him willing to fight against anyone or anything in order to protect the ones he cares about which I can tell is mainly just any female human who he finds attractive, beautiful and he becomes rather awestruck to.

He ignites the limb holes of his shell and fly like a flying saucer. Dragon ball made an nod to Gamera, even TMNT 2012 Version of Tokka, chompy's mom is also a nod to Gamera
