MCG, 100,000+, all types of games and concerts since 1853. Plus home of Melbourne 1956 Olympics it is also part of Melbourne Park which has Australia Open Tennis, Athletics track and League/Union Field. Easily the number 1. No other stadium or complex comes close. Incomparable really.

I agree with the community that Lord's should be included. This stadium is the pinnacle and richest in the tradition of any sport in the world. This is the capital of international, global cricket; a shrine for the world to worship.

I can't believe I saw both Man U and Barca play in their respective stadiums. I'm so lucky, I got to see Paul Scholes score, Leo Messi score, and Alex Ferguson managing a game was truly amazing

I get that you're a North American channel, but you're extremely biased towards your stadiums. I mean, Maracanã at #10?!? And no Allianz Arena, Santiago Bernabeau, San Siro, or Stadium Aztecas? (I think that's what it is. Please don't murder me.) And the MCG only got an honourable mention?! That was the first place to host the Olympics in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's the Holy Grail of sports in Australia, one of the worlds best sporting nations. Come on WatchMojo

You are being biased, there are other sports than football you know, The baseball stadiums are on the list because they have been around for almost 100 years and have more history in them. Maracana might become history as it’s been rotting away since the end of 2016 Olympics; Anfield is fine, but nothing compares to Old Trafford and Camp Nou, especially when Manchester United and FC Barcelona are winning, much less the fact that OT was rebuilt after WW2 and grow to what it is. I don’t mind Fenway Park is #1 as it is more ancient than almost any other stadiums that have have built, only Wrigley Field comes close.

You missed an obvious one: The Louisiana Superdome. Not the first domed stadium, but it set the standard for all others that followed. It's hosted the most Super Bowls, and is the home of the New Orleans Saints and their devoted, passionate fans. The Superdome has had events from concerts to Mardi Gras krewes, basketball to wrestling. In 2005 it was damaged severely by Hurricane Katrina while acting as a makeshift shelter. A year later, the Saints would return to a triumphant homecoming. Other stadiums have come and gone, yet the Superdome stands.

Mcg is 150 yrs old and historic in world sports than any of the present football stadiums. It existed even before football was invented..

Old Trafford is only famous because so many people hopped on the bandwagon of United when they were actually winning, Anfield is known to have one of the best atmospheres in European football, and is home to considerably more history than Old Trafford

Prudential center is definitely one of the nicest hockey arenas I've seen! I'm not being biased or anything!! Prudential Center to me is really nice and gorgeous. It's definitely ok for concerts, but it's amazing for hockey games! At Pru Center, they have the largest in arena scoreboard. During games, it's amazing!! If you're in the NJ/NY area though, I suggest going to Nassau Coliseum for a concert. It's so nice there since they've renovated it! I was just there for a concert, and it's gorgeous!!

Its just unforgiven that you tottally forgot the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. It is almost as a crime not giving one of the most famous and iconic stadiums of the world, with lots of history around it, at least an honorable mention.

crazedmartinez Yes! The first stadium to host two WC Finals. Two epic finals with two of the greatest of all-time: Pelé in 1970 and Maradona. And the 1968 Olympic Games matches. And the 1975 Pan American Games. And the record-braking crowd for a boxing match in 1993 (Greg Haugen x Julio C. Chavez)...... the list could go on and on.

Yeah, I've heard of Michael Jordan and Lebron James. I said the leagues were irrelevant. I said nothing about the players or the sports themselves. In fact, I don't hate sports. In fact, a cartoon I like has a character obsessed with sports (her name is Lynn Loud Jr), so I don't hate sports, period. I just think the NFL, the MLB, the NBA etc is a joke.

never been to the Allianz but drove past the night they first switched the lights on, quite a sight. We'd been in Munich for the week but no visitors allowed

I would put Indianapolis Speedway over Daytona. It is way older and hosts the biggest race in motorsports. :)
