Top 10 Football Stadiums With Bizarre And Fascinating Architecture.
Sports stadiums were invented by the Ancient Greeks for their Olympic and Panhellenic athletic competitions. However, the word stadium is of Latin origin, and the most famous stadium in the world is without a doubt the Coliseum in Rome. The Flavian Amphitheatre (as the Romans called it) held over 50,000 spectators and is considered a marvel of ancient architecture.
Football (soccer to those of you across the pond) has become the world's most popular sport in the twenty-first century, and there are thousands of football stadiums all over the world. However, not all of them can be compared to the Coliseum in terms of architectural grace and beauty. So, here are 10 strange and fascinating football stadiums that have taken the ancient concept of the sports arena in unexpected directions.

This is actually my favourite stadium, even when I only have seen it in TV or videos. I am amazed by the design since I saw it first time during the European Football Championship in Portugal. 🖐👴

The brazilian one is not on the amazon rainforest. Actually, the distance from that stadium to the amazon rainforest is longer than the distance from portugal to denmark. Thats how big Brazil is

Stadium Akron in mexico is very unique too, because you mised someones, but well prety fascinating the stadiums in the video
The only other stadium that I can think of with a train is the Major League Baseball, Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX, USA. It has a replica steam locomotive hauled by a cable that is displayed when an Astros player hits a home run, But, it is just a prop not a working railroad,
That was a really interesting video but, please, do some research on pronunciations before you record your audio. You made at least one pronunciation error on each stadium you showcased, and also in your intro. It doesn't take long to check this and it would improve the quality and enjoyability of your content
Braga municipal stadium is way fascinating comparing with some of the stadiums in the video
What a bonkers, but brilliant list! Love it
Imagine Sol Campbell doing the never ending slide tackle straight into the train or railroad. That's why you have to time your tackle.
Some of my favorites in North America is Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA, USA and the Volcano inspired stadium Chivas Guadalajara play in
The Romanian one was amazing!
Talking about archaeological stadiums, you should check Chiovato stadium in Baia, Naples. An aragonese Castle on the side, the stands on the other, two different views of the sea behind the two goals
actually the word stadium is a word the romans borrowed from ancient greek. It derives from the ancient greek στάδιον (stadion) which means stadium of course
any sports in the of rome would make the athletes feel like gods!
Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough. Lovely traditional football ground. Love it, admit I am biased!
Hmm got confused there.. "Although it's not unique, it's unique" Is this some obscure riddle?
7:20 stadium open on one end for cooling breeze. That was the concept in the "Horseshoe" design. The original Ohio Stadium from the 1920s. Since closed in to create more seating and $$
The Rock Stadium is an exact copy of a football ground on another planet where the home standing Rebels of Tatouine FC on the strength of a stunning goal by a young L. Skywalker upset the Imperial Premier League champions FC Stormtrooper, known by supporters as the Galacticos.

Mmabatho Stadium standings remind me old Stal Mielec stadium in Poland. Standing were also on columns and separated, only in parallel by only one side of stadium. Unfortunately like Mmbatho stadium standings were to dangerous due to decay and stadium was demolished.

@robertbauer3419

What happens? Same thing when some Croatian baller kicks it over the goal into the Adriatic Seas at that stadium #7 - you go get another ball!😀
I LOVE the crocodile stadium! Too many of the new stadiums are cookie cutter and hard to distinguish from all the others. The historic stadiums, in America at least, are all so individual theyre iconic. Franklin field, Rose bowl, Lambeau, Harvard stadium, yale bowl are all completely different from one another but just as amazing as the next. Now most stadiums are just oval or rectangle and boring

It's kitsch. Too literal, too Disney.
I thought the stadium was invited in rome?
Railroad sleepers are made of wood, not metal. The rails are metal.

Bursaspor stadium aka Croc of shit. I love the Brewsters Millions footy stadium, but the Croatian 😍 stunning.
Hold on. Wasn’t football the most popular sport in the world in the 20th century too? Or are you doing an American thing and pretending it became the most popular sport in the 21st century cos that’s only when the yanks started actually taking notice of our beloved game? Ya kno cos you live to have World Series etc with only American teams playing….. Lol just to clarify?
