Top 10 Reasons To Start In HVAC Or Plumbing In 2021/2022 | Why This is a Good Career For You!
Here I give you why I would consider a career in HVAC or Plumbing coming into the new year! I will be sharing my experience working in the HVAC and plumbing industry and key points to know before choosing this as a career option. If you're a hands on person that loves mechanics or fixing anything, then you will enjoy plumbing. There is always something to put together and install, then when it goes wrong take apart and fix it. The pay is very good and this increases as you gain experience in the industry, so you can earn more each year.
You get to work with so many different tools too and learn new ways to get a job done better and faster. Also, you get to travel to different places and meet new people. Let me know in the comments if you are thinking of starting in HVAC or Plumbing and why?

    Do you think someone could still become a plumber or HVAC with no math knowledge at all? I am interested in the trade but I did not take college level math in high school looking for a career change at 26 years old coming from the social work field

    Hey thanks for your support! Yes definitely. Math was my weakest subject in school by far. I was able to get the extra help in my trade classes to get it done. There was not as much math as I expected to be honest! Pretty basic math. Go for it and good luck!

    They are two different trades. Where I live it’s common for companies to offer both as they are very closely related in many ways. You can always do one trade as most people do. I like the variety and learning both keeps things fresh for me!

    How’s the money ? I’m thinking about getting into Plumbing, Also how physical demanding is the job ?

  • @BlueCollarBiceps

    @BlueCollarBiceps

    The money can be very good depending on where you live! It really varies so look up the average for your specific area and you should get a good idea of the pay scale. The job has its very physically demanding days, and depending on if you do new construction or install it can be that way every day. I like a good mix of service work as well to have easier days on the body so I would recommend finding a company that does both!

    Definitely man. I would say to just put in that extra effort and get it all if you can though! I passed all my tests and got my universal first try and honestly I’m pretty bad at tests! Just apply yourself and focus in and you will get it done!

    Hey man thank you for your service. Appreciate you checking out my channel! I started doing both and I have an equal passion for both. My best advice would be to find out the requirements for each in your desired work area and see which is the quickest to get licensed. They are both great trades and you will make good money licensed. Once your working in the one you can always learn the next and go from there! Hope this helps. 👨🏻‍🔧💪🏼

    As far as schooling nothing really helped me man honestly to set me up. Math would be an area that could help if your strong at it, but I was pretty horrible in high school at math and I made it through. Jump in the trade as soon as you can, work your ass off so you stand out and gain respect, and others will teach you when they see that you take it seriously. Definitely do your best in school but work even harder in whatever trade program or apprenticeship you choose!
