Gotta get that Milwaukee Cheater pipe wrench and Milwaukee narrow pipe wrench. I worked for the gas company the last 10 years and always use the biggest wrench possible and push away from your body to avoid injuries. That Milwaukee cheater is a must have if you did not have it already !

Yeah I gotta get my hands on the cheater!! I do have the 10L narrow wrench and I love that thing! I use it all the time on gas. Appreciate you checking out the channel man!
I hear you on the boiler rooms being hot. It's the attics here that makes you feel like you're on the bottom side of hell. Have 2 attic installs this week. Gotta love what you do right? 🙂 Great vid man.

Knipex for all my hand tools with some wiha in there! Milwaukee everything else for sure! Need to get the radius light my dude specially in spaces in the boiler closet lights everything! Jake Krauss Nice man! I need to get some more Knipex and try some Wiha tools. My dad has the radius light those are sweet! The m12 radio is great, I actually really like that I can charge my batteries with the radio, saves bringing in a charger. The press tool is company owned but eventually I’d like to grab the m12 for myself. Thanks for the feedback bro! More to come!
Good video. I’m a so called “handyman” but I realize overall it’s prob cheaper to call you than buy those neat tools you have. Two questions; 1. How do you feel about PECS Vice Copper? 2. Best way to decrease wait time for hot water to kitchen sink. Wife has been hammering me about it taking so long. City water, whole house filter, softener, heater then to faucet. You do a nice video I just stumbled onto your channel researching for new boots, not even sure how that happened. 🍺☘️
@BlueCollarBiceps
3 жыл бұрын
First off I wanna say I’m super appreciative of your support after just stumbling onto the channel! 1. They are both great, I like to use pex for water supplies throughout a house kind of thing. Any boiler work I try to stick to copper! 2. The only real way to fix the hot water issue would be to have what they call a “hot water recirculation” system installed that’s always moving the water around. Thanks again for the support!! 👨🏻🔧💪🏼

Next time, maybe use the brass male adapter connecting the steel and the copper male adapter on the prv. Steel and copper corrode. Keep up the good work tho!
@BlueCollarBiceps
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video! Are you talking about off the black iron on the boiler? That’s pretty common practice for us and I’ve never seen it corrode so I’m curious where your talking about? Thanks again for watching and dropping some input!
@trevorstevenson4772
3 жыл бұрын
Ya, it eventually corrodes, but sometime takes a lot of time. Best is to use dielectric unions. Second best is to use brass in the steel line. I just remember being called on it by an inspector lol

3 жыл бұрын
Ahh I hear ya! Inspectors can definitely be a pain in the neck too lol

👍, just wondering when going from the iron to the copper pro press fitting at 7:17 it is a dielectric fitting or something like that ?you know , disimilar Metals , Im an apprentice and I have never made a transition like that just want to be ready for when I face tat situation , thanks.
@BlueCollarBiceps
3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Great question. So basically you should use them technically on dissimilar metals whenever possible. But I will say when it comes to boiler piping in New England you will see this kind of thing all the time and usually it’s not an issue. It’s not a special fitting I’m using just a copper adapter. I will say check with someone that knows your specific local code and see what they say! I hope this helps.

@BlueCollarBiceps

I’m not sure over there because I’m in NH but I would imagine it’s pretty fair. It took a four year apprenticeship where I live to obtain my journeyman’s license. Less than another year and I was able to get my masters.
