    I'm 29 went to trade school for electro mechanical and I've been doing cnc machine repair for 11 years now. I make a great living I'm married and bought my first house when I was 26. Going to trade school was the best decision of my life. I really think it needs more promotion and less stigma. The days of only burnouts going to trade school have been long over. It's cool to see more people my age in trades doing good and keeping the blue collar work alive.

    Hey man that’s awesome!! I appreciate you checking out my videos. I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been in these trades for about 10 years and I’m 29 myself. I came up around some guys like that early on and your so right those days are over. My plan is to keep promoting the Blue-Collar trades that don’t get enough recognition and don’t reach young kids eyes for whatever reason. I feel like they are gonna make a big comeback though!

    It’s really cool seeing this trade in other parts of the country. I live in the bottom tip of South Carolina and do residential and a little light commercial. 90% heatpumps and the rest is natural or propane gas furnaces. Wish I got to see more oil and gas and water systems. Love the content bro. Keep it up!

    Great video man, I enjoyed watching the install. And I love that mindset and goal of making the trades cool again. I am 17 and going into plumbing. Whenever it comes up in convo, I tell my friends about the trades and how they should look into it too. I was never a school guy and I love working with my hands so plumbing is the way to go for me. I'm super into running and yoga, not lifting so much, but just overall fitness for sure, so seeing you kick ass at work and in the gym is super motivating for me. You are where I want to be in 10 or so years so keep it up and keep making videos man.

    I really dig the idea of this type of channel, I’m a 29 year old tradesmen also and seeing content of gym/blue collar trades is so unheard of, we need more of it! Maybe do a vid of how to train differently as a tradesmen and the different types of struggles (ex: meal prepping, trying to fit in a healthy breakfast when being up so early etc.) Love it man props!

    jeremy corbeil Thank you bro!! I really appreciate the positive feedback. I’m also 29 and they are the two things I’m equally passionate about so I figured why not, I haven’t seen it done before like you said. I agree I want it to become a thing people may consider. I think it has the power to uplift the trades in a way and show that even though we work hard, we still have a lot left in our tanks to push physically. Thanks for that video suggestion also I’ll definitely make something like that. Have a great day out there man! 👨🏻‍🔧💪🏼

    nice install question why use the flex connection from the 3/8 copper to the unit instead of continuing it in copper i only do water and drains normally why add the extra connection other then to make it easier to service?

  • @BlueCollarBiceps

    @BlueCollarBiceps

    3 жыл бұрын

    Delta5744 Thanks! So I don’t always use the flex line if it’s going to be easy to move the copper back for pump service. In this case not only was the bend going to be tight, it would be a nightmare to change the strainer. It makes for a more serviceable burner mainly!

    Don’t mean to sound stupid Being I never touch oil after twenty years in the business. But why not run the oil line high in the joist and come back down?

  • @BlueCollarBiceps

    @BlueCollarBiceps

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey you don’t sound stupid! We avoid it at all cost unless we use a deaerator called a “Tigerloop” Overhead lines are acceptable with check valves after the filter etc, but we have still seen them go “air bound” and kick the burner off quite a few times so if it goes above, it gets the Tigerloop. Also that’s an absolute must for Riello oil burners as they will lose their prime even quicker on an overhead line.

    Is it possible to learn plumbing as a hobby/ part time at all in America?? Or do you only have to do it the full time, apprenticeship, community college, main career kind of way? Any comments appreciated! Thanks so much!

  • @BlueCollarBiceps

    @BlueCollarBiceps

    2 жыл бұрын

    Sorry for such a late reply! I missed some of these comments somehow. So with plumbing you would probably have to do the full time apprenticeship and get your class work done while working for a company. The thing about it is there is on the job time needed working under a journeyman or master to be able to get your license. Hope this helps! Thank you for your support. 👨🏻‍🔧💪🏼

    great video. I see you lift weights, what are you doing for cardio and nutrition?

  • @BlueCollarBiceps

    @BlueCollarBiceps

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! So before my lifts I’ll hit some liss cardio on the bike or stair master. I have a faster metabolism so I keep cardio really limited on top of the Blue-Collar work it becomes too much fast. My meals I aim for 3 solid meals with other protein feedings in between and at night sometimes the others include vegetables. When I’m trying to cut down weight I’ll be very strict with tracking my macros (carbs, fats, protein). I always aim to hit around 210g protein daily all year, a gram per lb of body weight is great for most people. Carb sources are usually oatmeal, jasmine rice, cream of rice, russet potatoes, sweet potatoes, quinoa, fruits. Protein is eggs, chicken, beef, steak, white fish, salmon, tuna, ground chicken, cottage cheese, whey shakes. Fats are avocado, olive oil, nuts, peanut butter, egg yolk, fat from meats also. I’ll use seasonings and hot sauce, coconut aminos etc to keep things interesting. Also salt and pepper of course. I keep things strict during the week days, on the weekends is where I’ll allow myself some flexibility if I want a cheat or something. This is a basic overview! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks again for watching! More to come on both fitness and nutrition also.
