If you don’t mind to stay in a busy area I think your best choice is the Sukhumvit area where you are in the middle of everything and you are near in many BTS station for go anywhere in city fast.

the most famous one, Damnoen Saduak isn't , but there are quite a few floating markets in Bangkok too: Bang Nam Phueng, Khlong Lat Mayom, Taling Chan...
