I was inspired to paint a landscape after watching him while I was puppy sitting for my mom when she had her knee replaced. Its because of him that I was able to create a a beautiful scenic painting for my mom to have in her room while she recovered from surgery and of course she still has it!
I discovered Bob in 1994, and attended several painting classes with his certified instructors. I also painted several paintings on my own. Although it took me much longer than the 30 min it took him, I thoroughly loved it. I feel certain Bob turned more people onto painting than any other artist in history.

Wait just a minute... He would do WHAT with his brush??
@LoneWolf1493
2 жыл бұрын
@@oliverjackson6992 he’d periodically dip his paintbrush into paint thinner, shake it off, and “beat the devil out of it” against one of the legs of his easel so that he can reuse the brush for different colors. Two reasons why he used that technique: 1) it was very effective at getting any remaining paint out of the brush, and 2) he got a kick out of annoying the crew members behind the camera
Bob Ross was such a huge part of my upbringing, I was born in '96 so his show was sadly already over, but I remember that almost every night before bed my parents would put on a VHS tape of his or if I was lucky, two even, and let me watch him for a while and I'd be so amazed and soothed by his voice, personality and work that I'd go to bed feeling in perfect harmony, I'm told they found he would work like magic on me when I was a baby and wouldn't sleep, they'd only be able to lull me by either taking me out on a drive and letting the vibes of the car put me to sleep or by just turning on the TV to Bob Ross and he'd calm me down. It's actually because of him that in my teens I got into drawing and painting I miss you Bob, I know you're getting a well earned peaceful rest, and you'll forever live in my heart ❤😔
He’s so loved because he took his great talent and warmly invited everyone to share and enjoy what was created. That’s such a humble and graceful act. 🤍
