Disabili-TV Well, my favorite story was when he dropped everything to defend my honor at school. I was a kid when he was popular and recording his show. Because of this many kids in my school would "beat the devil out" of their paint brushes in art class. I was in first grade and absolutely adored him because he always treated me so kindly and so when one kid started doing that I excitedly said that I knew Bob Ross. Unfortunately the kid didn't believe me. I was a super sensitive kid so I sobbed after school when I told my mom that I'd been called a liar over this. My mom called him and told him what happened. He was so bothered that I was sad that he dropped everything to show up to my school the next day to prove I was telling the truth. He stuck around and drew pictures and met my friends. He truly was the type of person who would do anything to bring joy to those around him. What people saw on TV was absolutely accurate and genuine. He really was that kind. :)
My favorite story about Bob Ross, is his Army mates used to know of this gruff angry drill sargent during Vietnam. But one day Bob decided his anger was a problem and promised himself to never yell again. So when his Army mates and him reunited they couldnt recognize him with his afro and beard and especially his relaxed tone when he spoke.

I'm from Scotland and have only recently heard of Bob Ross and I have to say, I'm addicted to his videos. He seemed like such a lovely guy with an amazing talent. I've learnt that you can't fast forward through his paintings cos you can miss so much within a minute lol. The world would definitely be a better place if everyone was just a little bit more Bob Ross ❤️

Add another happy little tree, because everyone needs a friend
I would spend my summers watch Bob's show. I was 9 at the time. I started painting and learning to draw, thanks to him.
"Just beat the devil out of it" - Bob Ross
I honestly just can’t imagine Bob without his fro. I just can’t. And also, it’s such a shame that Bob had to pass away this early. He was such a beautiful and pure person inside out. You will be missed, Mr Bob Ross❤️

My mom said that I am a Happy little accident ^^
I remember that i was so impressed always when he was on tv when i was a kid. I always asked my parents to stay longer awake to watch him and they always said yes. It also was so good to listend to his voice, so well toned.
Nowadays, whenever I see a video of Bob Ross painting it takes me back to the day when I used to watch the show sitting down next to my late grand dad.... Definitely a great childhood memory 😊
I remember him doing a promo for MTV. He referred to it as the land of happy little trees.
The world needs a Bob ross right now

He finished a whole season in two days but I can't hear any sound of exhaustion or temper from his voice. He's always calm and mellow 💖
He also probably started ASMR before it became a thing
I feel dumb for never hearing about this guy until the Deadpool 2 teaser was out.

I am a bob ross book of knowledge.
I’m sure he’d be happy knowing his legacy lives on after his lifetime. A true legend! No mistakes just happy accidents.
When I was like 4 my mom and I would watch his show and I'd fall asleep to his soothing voice. It was my nap time ritual. I love this guy. My mom got me a bob Ross painting kit when I was like 10 and I killed it. I made some beautiful paintings. He's an amazing teacher. God bless him.
I loved the joy of painting, I used to come home from school and he would be on and i would chill out as soon as his voice would come on. such a major part of my life.
What a chill and interesting man.
Bob Ross wasn’t only the best painter, but he was a good with animals, and uses them in his paintings
What a wonderfully man. To good for this world. You can see he has a good soul nd his programmes got me through dark times in the 80/90s. I just watched could never afford or even allowed to be myself and try this form of painting. He was a great painter and a charming man. ❤
I miss him, luckily we can still watch him. Sometimes when I can't sleep I'll watch him paint and start to relax, he's such a calming influence.
He was a special, loving man. He had a way of soothing our mind & soul and we didn’t even realized it.
Now everytime I see this man I think about Boondocks.

The Kaisho 1999 That's one of favorite eposides!
I loved watching his shows on PBS back in the 80s. And although I was young, I was still just as mesmerized as I am today. Ross has inspired me in my 30s to start painting my own canvases. What an inspiration! ❤️
Much respect for this man. He inspired me to start painting statues. Watched him growing up and now on KZread and Netflix. Just got done painting up a bust statue of him. Long overdue for someone to create one. I made an easel, brushes, scrapers, his bucket and created a clear palette for him instead of the solid colored one that came with the kit. It will be one of my most prized possessions that I will display. Will do a pic/video of the build on my KZread channel soon.

He has the most soothing voice I swear... I sometimes like to plug my headphones in and just listen to his voice at bedtime and 9 out of 10 I fall asleep.
