Growing up I was always so insecure about everything about myself. How I looked, what I wore... and looking at celebrities in the film industry and magazines didn't help. But when I came across Catherine and saw how she made modest fashion look so beautiful and approachable I decided to give it a try and have been in love with it ever since. Catherine's style is something a working woman like me can look up to and feel beautiful in. She's just amazing! 🥰

I always love Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. She always nails everything, but in an interesting way. Also let's hear it for Queen Maxima who really know how to make a fashion statement!

I very much agree and just posted a comment saying I don’t understand how she can leave her out of the best dressed royals.

It was almost impossible for Grace Kelly to take a bad photo and her style was iconic.

Princess Grace's wardrobe in Rear Window was to die for! I love hats and I hope the royal women keep wearing them.

The newspapers and news reels were full of her image. There was a particular shade of blue which she wore and it became known as Marina Blue. Mu mum, now 99 years old, was given a Marina Blue scarf as a Christmas present.

As for the elderly and less model-looking ones, I think queen Camilla is really classy these days! Updated from her messier looks, she is polished, dignified, respecting her own personal style, body type etc. (I sincerely think the pretties wedding styles in the British RF in recent years have been her pale blue coat dress, and the stunning upgated loan dress Beatrice wore for hers. I guess I'm more about simple styles than all those statement veils and fuss.)

I am biased as I’m English but next to Catherine I think Princess of Sweden is stunning. Her wedding dress was beautiful.

Madeleine is stunningly beautiful!! It’s funny because it was difficult to tell until she finally stopped bleaching her hair. Darker hair with honey highlights suit her much better! Catherine is gorgeous as well!

Princess Grace was strikingly beautiful!!

Why can't the media refer to Catherine, as Catherine, the princess of Wales? Stop calling her Kate Middelton 🙄

She’s not even the Duchess of Cambridge anymore, that title has been superseded by the Duchess of Cornwall, which is a higher title.

Loved this and I’m glad you chose many lesser known royals. I love Queen Maxima and Queen Letizia. Catherine, the DoC always looks great! She plays it very safe and always opts for things that are very appropriate. I love her in things that are a little more free flowing and a little less tailored. I think as she grows into her role we’ll see a few more daring fashion choices. I do appreciate the fact that during her day to day work for regular appearances she always looks amazing but she never looks like a clothes horse or like she trying to be the centre of attention.

For me, there are currently only 3 royal style icons: Catherine, the Princess of Wales; Queen Rania of Jordan; and Queen Letitzia of Spain.

Beautiful Catherine definitely belongs on that list.

The best dressed Royal is Queen Letizia of Spain. She does not dress stiff like some royals and old fashion and frumpy like. But has exquisite sense of style. So elegant

From one Lousy American to another, I agree with and appreciate your choices. Mary and Maxima pull it off with their own inner panache that I always appreciate. Letizia is practically flawless but I don’t feel her heart in it so sometimes it’s hard to enjoy 100%. There’s one look Maxima had one time that was this gorgeous appliqué dress with a lot of pinks and flowery roses on it. It had a see-through portion up near the neck with some sort of appliqué and it was just stunning. One of my favorites of all time. It’s nice to find a kindred spirit and royal appreciated over here on KZread. I’m enjoying all your videos.

Crown Princess Mary’s ‘fedora’ is an Akubra which is a traditional Australian hat worn by men and women of all ‘stations’. There are styles that are worn by the landowners and others worn by different levels in the work order.

They are very snobbish and like someone mentioned their heart is not in it so you can't enjoy their fashion. Yes Rania is beautiful but more so after too much surgery. She was naturally pretty before. Her smiles looked real then.

I’d be interested to see what you think of the fashion choices on royal ladies, who don’t have or had the perfect size, shape or face to carry off anything they’d like, say the late Duchess of Windsor (who was said to have “a face like the back of a bus”, but was quite fashion icon in her day), the later years Queen Elizabeth, who still had to pull off fashion in her 90s, the brand new Queen Camilla, who came to royalty late in life but wore one of the most fabulous wedding outfits I’ve ever seen. Maybe a thought for another video?

I appreciate your choices very much! Gracia Patricia of Monaco was my life long style icon from my teenager years until now. Queen Laetizia‘s style is iconic, too, but she seems to be a little bit „cold“ woman, maybe I could be wrong. Beatrice Borromeo, I love her „old money“ style, her wedding looks were grandios. You are a sweet young lady with a beaty inside as well outside. I love your charisma, you are well mannered, well educated, it is just my feeling.

Someone mentioned this but Letizia and Rania are very cold looking, even their smiles look fake and forced. Their fashion is lovely but that coldness does not let me enjoy their fashion. Unlike, Catherine, Maxima, Mary Victoria and Madeline. You can tell in their smiles they truly have a beautiful heart. Caring and loving. One royal I truly love is Empress Masako....she has inner beauty and her sweet smile is so endearing.

Loved this video, agree to your list, my favorite are the Monaco royals: Grace Kelly, Charlotte and Beatrice Casiraghi.

We do need to remember that those who have been chosen, do have some impeccable genes which helps them to look so stylish in almost anything. I was curious as to whether Crown Princess Mary of Denmark would be mentioned, as many overlook her despite the fact she does look quite similar to Catherine with their stunning figures and long flowing dark curls. Call me bias, but I do like Mary due to being an Australian also. I'm quite proud of the fact that the next Queen (Consort) of the oldest European Royal Family will be a Tasmanian, the State from which Mary is from. Both Catherine and Mary have quite similar fashion sense and like the traditional British look of tailored styles including blazers, trousers, pencil skirts, double-breasted coat dresses in check design fabrics in lovely neutral tones etc. It's the type of style which I also enjoy yet I have never had a fashion icon. I've spent my life wearing only what I enjoy and would never follow fashion. I created my own style and would never buy a clothing item that I saw on another, as what may look spectacular on one, can look plain wrong on our body-shape. I also grew up making my own clothes too, which included knitting and sewing. I'm the first to admit that I own more clothes than any one person should be allowed too, but I am a fantastic bargain hunter. I manage to find the most exquisite pieces at prices that would make your jaw drop. I also love the feel of natural fabrics like silk, linen, wool etc. and I have a great collection of stylish leather pieces too. Despite the amount of wealth and impressive genes, it doesn't always account for some bad choices these women would have all experienced. It's due to making the right choices a majority of the time, that make these women 'fashion icons' to many. I feel it's fine for us to admire the styles that they wear and gain inspiration, yet we should only choose styles which are meant for us as individuals. That being said, what I wouldn't give to be able to go through their wardrobes, jewels especially!🇦🇺💖🕊

@@Tiesquel Are you referring to their genetic makeup? If so, it really does help and is why you see so many of the younger European Royals pursue careers or time in modelling. They get to cash in on their looks but also on their royal connections without having to do a great deal to get there. I can't see Crown Princess Mary allowing this within her family. She's way to down to earth and would expect her children to pull their weight. Sorry to mention this person, but this is what upsets me about Hazbeen. He's had every opportunity handed to him on a silver platter and still can't find a way in life except to trash his family. What a waste!💖

@@Tiesquel Yes, I'd love to have a rummage through their everyday clothing and accessories. The large jewellery pieces would be kept locked away but the small pieces would be lovely to go through. I often think this of a rare number of people that I believe dress very well and will often say that I wish I could go through their wardrobes. Clothes can say alot about a person. We get to see the outfits that are worn in public, but imagine what they wear around the 'palaces'? I'd be curious to see which outfits they keep as well and what gets passed on. So much to ponder!💖

This was a very good presentation. I’m not familiar with most of these ladies, but think you chose well. Katherine is 99% perfect. I could count on one hand the outfits of Katherine that were duds in my opinion. I also think Queen Leticia’s fashion sense is impeccable. Can’t ever remember her putting a wrong foot forward.

Brittney, the picture you showed was of King George V not Tsar Nicholas. Also the revenge dress was not for the divorce it was the night that Charles admitted on TV to having committed adult Ty after his marriage had irretrievably broken down.

My favorites was the Lady that wore the feather hat her clothing choices are outstanding. Then also the last w the Grace Kelly look

The reason Diana wore clutches is because she called them cleavage clutches. She would put the clutch purse over her cleavage when getting out of the car… That’s a true story!

Catherine no doubt has a complete staff that manages her wardrobe as do most stylish Royal ladies. They would never ever allow Kate to be seen in public with trousers dragging the ground or a price tag showing . Kate is very hands on about what she likes and doesn’t. Each piece is catalogued when and where it was last worn , cleaned and inspected for rips ! Catherine measurements alter like we all do especially now that she’s pregnant. We will never ever see her in a ill fitting ( body con) ultra tight dress covering a moon bump! 😊

I enjoy your channel and the fashion portion is always one of my favorites. I would love to offer you some unsolicited advice though. I think if you left the pictures of your fashion choice up while you talked, at least part of the time, it would be great. I hardly even saw some of the picks because they were removed so quickly. The video was so well done and you certainly know your subjects and I do enjoy watching you talk but when you have worked so hard to provide us with this wouldn’t it be better if we got to see your choices longer. I do love your channel❤

The dress that Queen Letiza of Spain wears at 17.21 is not from the wedding of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit, as they got married in 2002, and Letzia and Felipe got engaged in 2003/2004. No the dress is from the wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in 2004, just one week before Felipe and Letizia got married actually.

Catherine princess to be queen is #1.

Catherine’s dress sense has changed completely since the demise of the late Queen, gone are the old fuddy duddy rules, about the length of the dress, not showing your shoulders and the wearing of shorts at sports events, another one is the wearing of trouser suits, which Catherine looks fantastic in. I think the one that should top your list is the gold dress. It knocked spots off all the other dresses.
