Haikyu!! (ハイキュー!!, Haikyū!!, from the kanji 排球 "volleyball") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The story follows Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020, with its chapters collected in forty-five tankōbon volumes.
An anime television series adaptation by Production I.G aired from April 2014 to September 2014, with 25 episodes. A second season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, with 25 episodes. A third season aired from October 2016 to December 2016, with 10 episodes. A fourth season was announced during the Jump Festa '19 and was planned for release in two cours, the first cour of 13 episodes aired from January to April 2020, and the second cour of 12 episodes aired from October to December 2020.
In North America, the manga has been licensed by Viz Media, while the anime series has been licensed for digital and home release by Sentai Filmworks.
Both the manga and anime have been met with positive responses. The manga won the 61st Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen manga in 2017. As of November 2020, Haikyu!! had over 50 million copies in circulation.

Tsuki's block is definitely a very intense moment. I loved his story arc and how that moment basically got him hooked on volleyball.

Tsukkis block, Hinatas perfect receive and Tanaka's line shot or his inner monologue before his cut shot are mine. Wildcard moments? Nishinoya's foot receive, Asahi blasting through Date Tech's wall and Oikawas insane cross court set.

Tanaka after not being able to score and his backstory about being average his whole life, reaching his level just from working hard to hitting that spike and scoring brought tears to my eyes. Enough to make a grown man cry.

for me one of the greatest moment of haikyuu is when hinata makes a high pass to slow down the pace of the play, you could feel how intense it was starting to get and they made a really good job to recreate the felling of relif

I literally can’t express how much I love Haikyuu. The characters are so relatable and realistic, I was disappointed to find out my favorite characters weren’t real :(. Not only that, but Haikyuu motivated me to achieve my studies. It’s really a blessing to watch Haikyuu.

nishinoya diving and defending the overpass was absolutely insane and underated
In s4 2nd last episode It had the best moment when everyone in karuso doubled their speed to get the match point and finish the game While hinata just came out of nowhere and did tht long pass and it was such a epic moment This is one of the best animes out there

Oikawa's jersey color change at 1:14 was a smooth transition from the spike serve during the match to the after-match practice at Seijoh's gymnasium. So good!!!

Thats why i never let any Sports Anime on hanged, ive always like them... But of all of the best, though im not a dancer or neither a watcher of any dance. Ballroom E Youkoso is an absolute underrated favorite for, Im hoping King Golf get an anime adapdation.

Especially when written well, like Haikyu. It is a masterpiece. I loved how Karosuno's simple banner with Fly and the emphasis that one plays volleyball because it is fun, becomes a reoccurring theme. The banner themes were not random. The writer was very careful with their wording and used the actual match to convey the meanings behind each message. He does it with with 'show not tell', which is a sign of a brilliant writer. We don't need the memories, Rule the Court, Iron Wall, and.... Fly
Tsukishima's block still lives on in my head, one of the best blocks in any sports anime. combine that with the fact that he was up against a team way out of his league and it makes for such a heartwarming and emotional scene.
You know the feeling of freshness and the taste of life and progressing in it , it's the exact feeling whenever I watch this anime, I'm just in love with it 🥰🥰🥰
Goosebumps all over the place. 🔥 Hands-down best sports anime of all time for me. 🙏
That one block unleashed the beast inside Tsukishima😎😎still one of my favourite... and hinata's defence by controlling the speed of the ball using his body is totally insane which leads kageyama to finally praise hinata😂😂😂

This is amazing!! It would have been so cool if when you showed Atsumu serving, he silenced the crowed and the song stopped until after the ball hit the ground or was received. Other wise this was absolutely perfect

Probably the only anime that has made me cry every 10 episodes.
Hinata's receive and Tsukishima's block always gives me the chills no matter how many times I watch it.
Hinatas receive was my favorite moment the lil guy grow up so fast I’m actually tearing up short guys got speed over power pride myself in that fact but Im blessed with both
Some of the setter dumps are also critical moments and also Hinata's play at the last moment when he gave everyone a time to breathe also
the last part is definitely the best haikiyuu's chapter❤️
All of nishinoya's moments, hinata coming in clutch by hitting all of the twins' balls and giving the team a moment to breathe, when hinata did his trick with kageyama and looked oikawa directly in his eye like "I'm coming for you"(first time his eyes were conpletely open for the quick attack), tsukishima's blocks, green head's jump floats, tanka's line shot, the captain' recieving, the ace's serves (forgot his name😭), sugawara coming in clutch every time he stepped on the court with his tactics, kageyama in general, the entire team slays💜

bro karasuno vs aoba johsai at the end of season 2 still remains my favorite match in the series. everyone was going insane in the third set. mad dog and oikawa had insane serves, everyone in karasuno kept getting hit in the face😂, and hinata and kageyama’s quick finally got past aoba’s wall which stopped them in the interhigh tournament
Haikyuu inspired me to do volleyball. I can only hope my team gets farther this year then it did last. We lost in semifinals of our league.

I'm not into sports and I don't watch volleyball but seeing this gave me chills and in a good way 😖😖😖 yep.
Kageyama pinpointing the ball to Hinata with rocket launching marker is first still the best epic moment in the series for me.
For me the best moments is: 1. I coke from the future with interesting news about that actually- they are making a 2 part movie instead called Haikyuu Final and it's ment to come out sometime later thus year
Honestly i dont know what was more hype, tsukki's block or him screaming with passion after the block. The combination of the two did make for the most hype moment in haikyu so far tho.
