The rules were a bit stricter before. Only one time on your side you can play with the feet. Now they allow it as many times.

for real though im a middle blocker and so if i mess up the block and it comes back to our side i can usually put a hand out and tip it over to get a point but its always a power feeling

This reminds me of that one time someone sent a ball at me and I literally got it placed nicely on the triangle, but for some reason it just died in my hands. Didn't ricochet off or anything, momentum just died and ball weakly bounced off. Idk if physics can explain this, but maybe it was the ball's spin? Idk

Actually, just the opposite, in saves like this you are more aware of what are the things you can use to leverage you to get to the ball faster or how you will avoid things. that's why if you notice most of these saves the players jump over those things on the ground, the chairs, the crowd, etc.

@@elenakyan6960 although volleyball players usually use their hands to receive or set, if the ball is out of contact with your hands it is actually fully allowed to use your foot. It is not against the rules, as long as it gets in the air.

I love how in most of these clips, the save is followed by a giant FAIL from the other team

@@deadeye7589 just have a lot of discipline and determination, and always be coachable. If u want to get started, you have to work on the basics. A YT channel I would recommend would be Elevate Yourself with coach Donny. He has many tutorials on the basics to the more advanced aspects of volleyball. His explanations imo are easy to follow and understand.

Como siempre fui bueno para el fútbol cuando iba a jugar al Volley todos quedaban impresionados por mis salvadas acrobáticas usando los pies, no podían creer la precisión que tenía en las piernas para dar pases o rematar con las piernas, incluso una vez quedé mal posicionado ante un remate y la única forma posible de salvar esa pelota era con una chilena. no solo hice la chilena para salvar sino que remate de chilena y fue el mejor tanto que haya visto en la historia del volley, mi equipo ganó ese campeonato de la secundaria y tengo una foto con todos ellos, fue la única vez que participe en un campeonato de volley, uno de mis compañeros le dedicó mucho tiempo al volley y se convirtió en jugador de la selección de mi país.

Two things I learned from watching this video. 1) You're allowed to kick the ball to keep it up in the air. I never watch volleyball, so this is news to me. 2) Never sit in the front two rows when watching this sport live. They are not shy about jumping over the railing to keep the ball up in the air.

I love volleyball. easily my favorite sport, both to play and to watch. one of the things I love about it is that the ball can be played anywhere. if you can reach the ball, you can play it. doesn't matter how far outside the court it is, which I think is rather unique, and awesome. I used to play in a (unusually competitive) church youth league, and I saw many moments like this. albeit fewer feet because kicking wasn't legal yet.
